Ranked for travel agencies and tour sellers

Best social media tools for travel agencies in 2026

Seven tools ranked by how much of the whole job each does before an agency pays anything: the post written, the image and a short video made, and the post published. Every price was read from the vendor's own page on 2 October 2026, and the company that wrote this list sells one of the seven.

SpeedRun Social is entry one and starts free: one campaign a week with 3 posts, 1 video and 1 cross-post, plus 300 credits a month refilled forever. No card, and free-plan media carries a small watermark.

The spring departures are priced, the hotel photos are on the agency's own site, and the feed has said nothing about either since August. SpeedRun Social ranks first here because it reads that site, writes the post, makes the image and a short video, and publishes after you approve it, all on a free plan.

The stake, before anything else: SpeedRun Social is ours, and it holds first place on one criterion, the whole job done before an agency pays anything. Travel posts sell on specifics, a date, a price per person, what is included, so every post waits in an approval queue until someone checks those details against the booking.

These seven are two kinds of software. Five post to social media, and two run the agency itself, clients, itineraries and payments, without posting anywhere. The second kind is here because a search for this list turns up both, and an agency usually needs one of each.

The whole job, cell by cell

The same seven tools, read the way the ranking reads them, with a last column for the two that run trips instead of posting. A cell says what the vendor's own page said on 2 October 2026, never more.

Every priced claim below links to the vendor page it was read from and the date it was read. Where a vendor publishes a monthly price and an annual one, both are quoted.

  1. SpeedRun Social

    our product

    AI content generator

The one that turns departures into posts and short videos

SpeedRun Social reads your agency's site, the photos on it included, into a brand kit, then writes each post, makes the image and a short video, and publishes to Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and eight other channels once you approve it. The approval step is where a travel post gets checked for the details clients book on: a departure date, a price per person, what is included. Disclosure: this is our product and this is our list, and it sits first because its free plan is the only one here that does the whole job.

    What SpeedRun Social costs
SpeedRun Social's free plan: 300 credits a month refilled forever, one free campaign a week (3 posts, 1 video, 1 cross-post), no card, watermarked media on free. SpeedRun Social's paid plans are $49.99, $99.99 and $199.99 a month billed monthly, or $39.99, $79.99 and $159.99 a month billed annually. speedrunsocial.com/pricing, checked 2 October 2026
Who SpeedRun Social is best for
SpeedRun Social suits a small travel agency or tour seller with real trip photos on its own site and no time to post, which wants departures and offers turned into posts and short videos that wait for a yes.

    SpeedRun Social: honest limitation

SpeedRun Social's images are generated, starting from photos on your own site where it finds them, so an image can show the kind of place a trip goes to without being a photo of the exact hotel; swap in the supplier's photo before approving a post that sells a named property. It plans and books nothing, the job TravelJoy and Travefy do, free-plan media carries a watermark, and we are the youngest company on this page. speedrunsocial.com/pricing, checked 2 October 2026

  2. Publer

    Scheduler

AI captions and photos on every plan, video stays yours

Publer is a scheduler priced per social account whose AI Assist writes captions and creates photos on every plan, free included, and it publishes to Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube and Google Business among others. It makes no video, so the reel that sells a trip is still yours to cut.

    What Publer costs
Publer's plans page listed a free plan at $0.00 with 1 user, 3 social accounts excluding X, 10 scheduled posts per account and a 24-hour post history. Professional read $5.00 a month billed monthly or $4.00 billed yearly, and Business $10.00 billed monthly or $8.00 billed yearly, per social account. publer.com/plans, checked 2 October 2026
    Who Publer is best for
Publer suits a one-person agency that writes its own trip posts and wants them queued, with AI help on the captions, for a few dollars a month.

    Publer: honest limitation

Publer makes no video, and its free plan cannot connect X and keeps published posts for only 24 hours. An AI-made photo of a destination is no more a photo of the booked hotel than ours is, and pricing is per social account. publer.com/plans, checked 2 October 2026

  3. Buffer

    Scheduler

Free for three channels, Google Business Profile included

Buffer is a scheduler priced per channel with a free plan for three channels and Google Business Profile among its networks. Its AI Assistant refines text you supply and it makes no images or video, so the trip photos and reels come from the agency or its suppliers.

    What Buffer costs
Buffer's pricing page listed a free plan for up to 3 channels with 10 scheduled posts per channel and 1 user. Essentials read $6 a month per channel billed monthly or $5 billed yearly ($60 a year), and Team $12 a month per channel billed monthly or $10 billed yearly, with unlimited team members and content approval workflows on Team. buffer.com/pricing, checked 2 October 2026
    Who Buffer is best for
Buffer suits an agency that already has supplier photos and its own captions and wants them queued on three channels for nothing, or a few dollars a channel later.

    Buffer: honest limitation

Buffer writes nothing from scratch and makes no images or video, and its free plan stops at 10 scheduled posts per channel. Approval workflows for a second person start on Team at $12 a channel a month billed monthly. buffer.com/pricing, checked 2 October 2026

  4. Metricool

    Scheduler and analytics

Free for one brand, with reporting and competitor tracking

Metricool is a scheduler with analytics and competitor tracking, priced per brand, whose free plan covers Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube and Google Business Profile for one brand. It writes with an AI assistant its page does not describe, and makes no images or video.

    What Metricool costs
Metricool's pricing page printed both ladders. Billed monthly, Starter read from $25 a month for up to 5 brands and Advanced from $67 a month for 15. Billed annually, the same tiers read from $20 and from $53 a month. The free plan covers 1 brand, every network except LinkedIn and X, and 20 scheduled posts a month. metricool.com/pricing, checked 2 October 2026
    Who Metricool is best for
Metricool suits an agency that wants to see which destinations and offers get attention, with posting and reporting in one place.

    Metricool: honest limitation

Metricool makes no images or video, its free plan caps scheduling at 20 posts a month and leaves out LinkedIn and X, and its paid tiers are sized for several brands, from $25 a month billed monthly for up to 5. metricool.com/pricing, checked 2 October 2026

  5. Later

    Visual scheduler

Guest photos and a link in bio, no free plan

Later is a visual-first scheduler for Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, YouTube and four other networks, with a link-in-bio page on every plan and user-generated content collection from Growth, which suits trips sold on the strength of guests' own photos. Its AI content tools come in small monthly credit amounts and its pricing page does not say whether they write or design.

    What Later costs
Later's pricing page opened on Bill Yearly: Starter read $18.75 a month billed yearly, Growth $37.50 and Scale $82.50. With Bill Monthly selected they read $25.00, $50.00 and $110.00 a month billed monthly. Starter covers 1 social set of 8 profiles, 1 user, 30 posts per profile a month and 5 AI credits a month, and every plan starts with a 14-day free trial. later.com/pricing, checked 2 October 2026
    Who Later is best for
Later suits an agency whose past guests post good photos, which wants to collect and reshare them and send followers to offers through a link-in-bio page.

    Later: honest limitation

Later has no free plan, only a 14-day trial, and its Starter plan holds 5 AI credits a month without saying what one buys. User-generated content collection starts on Growth, $50.00 a month billed monthly. later.com/pricing, checked 2 October 2026

  6. TravelJoy

    Travel advisor CRM

Trips, clients and payments, no social posting

TravelJoy is software for travel advisors that runs clients, trips, forms, invoices and payments, with AI and automations on its Pro plan. Nothing on its pricing page publishes to a social network, so it sits here for the agency deciding between running the business and running the feed.

    What TravelJoy costs
TravelJoy's pricing page listed Starter at $19 a month, with no annual option on that card, for 12 trips a year without AI or automations. Pro read $39 a month as its monthly price and $32 a month as its annual price, with unlimited trips, AI and automations and group bookings, and every plan starts with a 7-day free trial with no credit card required. traveljoy.com/pricing, checked 2 October 2026
    Who TravelJoy is best for
TravelJoy suits a solo travel advisor who needs client records, itineraries and payments in one place and handles social posting with a separate tool.

    TravelJoy: honest limitation

TravelJoy publishes nothing to social media, and its pricing page names no social tools on Starter or Pro. The advanced marketing tools it mentions belong to a separate Premium tier whose price the page does not show. traveljoy.com/pricing, checked 2 October 2026

  7. Travefy

    Itinerary and proposal software

Itineraries, proposals and a website, no social posting

Travefy is itinerary and proposal software for travel agents, with a CRM, a website and landing page builder and a feature it lists as AI Content Import. It builds the trip and the page that sells it, and nothing on its pricing page posts to a social network.

    What Travefy costs
Travefy's pricing page listed Core at $39 a month billed annually and Premium at $59 a month billed annually, with no month-to-month price printed, only a note that a monthly option is available. An Agency option adds $20 a month per additional seat, and the free trial runs 10 days. travefy.com/pricing, checked 2 October 2026
    Who Travefy is best for
Travefy suits a travel agent who sells with polished itineraries and proposals and wants a simple website from the same tool, and who posts to social media some other way.

    Travefy: honest limitation

Travefy publishes nothing to social media, and its pricing page prints no monthly figure for the option it says exists. Its website builder and AI Content Import serve the trip and the page that sells it, not the feed. travefy.com/pricing, checked 2 October 2026

How this list was ranked

The stake first: we build SpeedRun Social, it is entry one of seven, and it sits above Publer and Buffer, two schedulers we do not own. A travel buyer is used to asking who is selling before reading the offer, and the same question deserves an answer here.

Every figure was read on 2 October 2026 from the vendor's own pricing page in a real browser, with the address checked against the one requested and each billing control pressed both ways. Nothing comes from a review site, a booking forum or an assistant's answer.

Prices name their billing mode. Where a vendor prints a monthly and an annual figure, both are quoted; Travefy printed only annual figures with a note that a monthly option exists, and its entry says so. SpeedRun Social's own prices are given in both modes.

The ranking rule is the one at the top of the page: how much of the whole job a tool does before an agency pays anything, meaning the post written, the image and a short video made, and the post published, then the cheapest price for the whole job. A free plan that covers more of it ranks higher; tools with no free plan rank by the cheapest plan that does the most of it, and the two that run trips but post nothing come last for this list's purpose.

Travel has one image rule the other trades do not: a picture sells a place the client has not seen yet. A generated image, from us or from any AI tool on this list, can show the kind of beach a trip goes to, but it is not a photo of the hotel. Use the supplier's photos for anything that names a property, and keep generated images for the feel of a destination.

No stars, no scores, no customer counts. Every claim carries the page it came from and the date it was read, and a price that moved since then is the vendor's to confirm.

The honest part

Publer is the cheaper choice for an agent who writes trip posts personally: $5.00 a month billed monthly per social account, with AI captions and photos on every plan.

Later is the choice when guests' own photos are the marketing, with user-generated content collection from its Growth plan and a link-in-bio page on every plan. And if the real gap is running trips rather than posting, TravelJoy and Travefy do that work, which SpeedRun Social does not.

What we will not claim: no ratings, no booking numbers, no customer counts. We are the youngest company on this page. We rank first for one stated reason, the whole job on a free plan, and we still say where the rivals beat us, on price, on guest photos and on running the trip itself.

Questions travel agents ask about this list

  • What is the best social media tool for a travel agency?

SpeedRun Social, our own product, on the criterion this page ranks by: it writes the post, makes the image and a short video, and publishes after you approve, on a free plan with no end date. If you write your own posts, Publer and Buffer cost less, and if you need to run trips and clients, TravelJoy and Travefy do that; all are ranked below with their own prices.

  • Can AI images be used to advertise a trip?

With care. A generated image can set the mood of a destination, but it is not a photo of the hotel, the room or the view a client is paying for. SpeedRun Social starts from photos on your own site where it can and holds every post for approval, so swap in the supplier's photo before approving any post that names a property.

  • Which of these tools post reels and short videos?

SpeedRun Social makes a short video for you, one a week on the free plan, starting from a photo on your site. Publer names Reels and YouTube Shorts among the post types it publishes and Later lists Instagram Reels audio on Starter; both publish video you supply. TravelJoy and Travefy post nothing to social media.

  • Is there a free social media tool for travel agencies?

Publer, Buffer and Metricool keep free plans with no end date: Publer's covers 3 social accounts with 10 scheduled posts each, Buffer's 3 channels with 10 scheduled posts each, and Metricool's 1 brand with 20 scheduled posts a month. Ours is 300 credits a month refilled forever, one free campaign a week (3 posts, 1 video, 1 cross-post), no card, watermarked media on free. Later, TravelJoy and Travefy run trials instead.

  • What does social media software cost a travel agency?

On the pages read on 2 October 2026: Publer Professional at $5.00 a month billed monthly or $4.00 billed yearly per social account, Buffer Essentials at $6 a channel a month billed monthly or $5 billed yearly, Metricool Starter from $25 a month billed monthly or $20 billed annually, and Later Starter at $25.00 a month billed monthly or $18.75 billed yearly. SpeedRun Social's paid plans start at $49.99 a month billed monthly or $39.99 a month billed annually.

  • Do travel agents need a CRM and a social media tool?

Most do, because the two jobs barely overlap. A CRM such as TravelJoy or Travefy keeps the client, the itinerary and the payments straight; a social tool keeps the agency visible between bookings. None of the seven here does both, and each entry says which job it takes.

  • How often should a travel agency post?

Often enough that a past client sees the next departure before booking it somewhere else: a few posts a week around real trips, real dates and real prices. A rhythm you can keep up through the slow months does more than an ambitious calendar that stops in March.

Put one departure through it

The free plans and trials above exist so an agency can put one real departure through two tools and compare what comes back. Ours has no countdown, and every post waits for your yes before it publishes.

Every vendor figure on this page was read on 2 October 2026. Prices move; the links exist so you can check theirs and ours.
