Hootsuite pricing for a 1 to 3 person team

What Hootsuite's per-user plans actually cost a small business, with the seat math shown in full and the free plan it does not have, every figure read from hootsuite.com/plans on 9 September 2026.

Ours is the plan with no clock on it: 300 credits a month refilled forever and one free campaign a week. No card, and free-plan media carries a small watermark.

Hootsuite's paid plans run $99, $199 and $399 per user a month, each billed annually, with Enterprise listed as "Contact for pricing" (hootsuite.com/plans, read 9 September 2026). There is no free plan, only a 14-day trial with no card.

The number that decides the purchase is the seat count, because Hootsuite prices per user. A one-person business on Standard commits $1,188 for the year at the annual rate; three people on the same tier commit $3,564. The full seat table is below.

SpeedRun Social, our own product, prices the whole workspace flat at $49.99, $99.99 or $199.99 a month and keeps a permanent free plan. This page prices Hootsuite first and ours second, so the two are never mistaken for the same thing.

Where every number came from

  • The plans page carried no monthly or yearly toggle and priced a single billing mode. Its comparison table headed the tiers "Standard $99 per user/month, billed annually", "Professional $199 per user/month, billed annually" and "Advanced $399 per user/month, billed annually", above a custom-priced Enterprise shown as "Contact for pricing". A footnote read "Prices displayed in USD, based on annual billing", and the FAQ said month-to-month billing is offered on the three named plans at a higher per-user rate but prints no figure for it. hootsuite.com/plans, read 9 September 2026
  • No free plan appeared on the plans page. Each paid tier opened with a free 14-day trial that asked for no card, and the page footnote said trial accounts are limited to 10 to 20 posts per organization per day depending on plan, with bulk scheduling unavailable during the trial. hootsuite.com/plans, read 9 September 2026
  • The plans page described Standard as managing up to 10 social media accounts from one calendar, with unlimited accounts on Professional, Advanced and Enterprise. Seats are sold separately from accounts: the seat row read 1+ on all three paid tiers, and the FAQ said plans are priced per user, or seat, so an organization adds seats as it adds people. hootsuite.com/plans, read 9 September 2026
  • The feature table put post approval workflows and assigning messages to teammates on Advanced and Enterprise only, single sign-on and 13 months of historical listening data on Enterprise alone, and competitive benchmarking at 5 competitors on Standard against 20 on Professional and Advanced. Quick Search history ran 7 days on Standard against 30 days above it. hootsuite.com/plans, read 9 September 2026

What Hootsuite charges, tier by tier

Every price above is per user a month, billed annually, which is the only mode hootsuite.com/plans publishes. Seats and accounts are sold separately: the account count is what one calendar manages, the seat count is how many people can sit in front of it.

The seat math, in full

The monthly column is what the plan costs that month at annual billing; the yearly column is the 12-month commitment it locks in. Hootsuite publishes no month-to-month figure, so every number here is the annual-billed rate.

SeatsStandardProfessionalAdvanced
1 person$99 / $1,188 a year$199 / $2,388 a year$399 / $4,788 a year
2 people$198 / $2,376 a year$398 / $4,776 a year$798 / $9,576 a year
3 people$297 / $3,564 a year$597 / $7,164 a year$1,197 / $14,364 a year

Hootsuite has no free plan; it has a 14-day trial

On the plans page read for this page, every Hootsuite tier opened with a free 14-day trial and asked for no card. The trial is a clock: the page caps trial accounts at 10 to 20 posts per organization per day depending on plan, and bulk scheduling is switched off for the duration.

SpeedRun Social keeps a permanent free plan instead: 300 credits a month refilled forever, one free campaign a week (3 posts, 1 video, 1 cross-post), no card, watermarked media on free. Nothing expires and no card is ever requested, so the plan you trial it on is the plan you can keep.

The flat alternative, seat by seat

Where Hootsuite multiplies by headcount, our paid plans charge the workspace once. The same three teams from the seat table land on one of three flat tiers.

One person

Standard at $99 per user a month billed annually is $1,188 a year.

SpeedRun Social

$49.99 a month on Starter, or $39.99 a month billed annually, with the free plan underneath at $0.

Two people

Standard at two seats is $198 a month billed annually, or $2,376 a year.

SpeedRun Social

$99.99 a month on Growth, or $79.99 a month billed annually, still one flat bill.

Three people

Standard at three seats is $297 a month billed annually, or $3,564 a year.

SpeedRun Social

$199.99 a month on Pro, or $159.99 a month billed annually, which is our ceiling.

Who should pay for Hootsuite

A staffed team that works social as a job

Approval workflows, message assignment, single sign-on and listening history are real machinery, and they sit on the higher tiers. A company where several people answer the internet together is buying coordination, and Hootsuite sells exactly that.

A multi-location group with a marketing coordinator

Once social is somebody's job and an annual seat is an ordinary line item, the per-user price is not the objection. The account count and the inbox earn their keep.

An owner who posts between jobs and answers nobody

This is the buyer Hootsuite's per-seat bill fits least. One seat of Standard is a $1,188 annual commitment for a calendar nobody staffs, and the posts still have to be written somewhere.

How this page was priced

The stake first: we build SpeedRun Social, and this page ends by pricing it beside Hootsuite. A price sheet written by a rival is worth a buyer's time only when the rival says so before the numbers rather than in a footer.

On 9 September 2026 every Hootsuite figure above was read off hootsuite.com/plans, and each one links back to it. Nothing here is restated from a review site, another roundup or an AI answer.

Hootsuite publishes one billing mode and it is annual, so every price on this page is the annual-billed rate and says so. Their FAQ says month-to-month billing exists and costs more per seat, and prints no number for it, so this page carries none rather than guessing one.

The seat table is arithmetic, not opinion: each cell is the tier's per-user monthly rate times the seat count, with the yearly column the same sum times twelve. content.test.ts recomputes every cell from the one constant per tier so a future edit cannot make the table disagree with itself.

There are no scores, stars, testimonials or customer counts on this page. We are new and have very few customers, and a rating would imply a bake-off nobody ran. Prices move, so open the linked page before any number here decides anything.

Questions about the Hootsuite price

  • How much does Hootsuite cost per month?

On 9 September 2026, Hootsuite's plans page listed Standard at $99, Professional at $199 and Advanced at $399, each per user a month and each billed annually, with Enterprise shown as "Contact for pricing". There is no monthly-billed price published anywhere on the page, so the annual-billed rate is the only one a buyer can quote.

  • Does Hootsuite have a free plan?

It has no free tier. What it offers instead is a 14-day trial, no card asked for, that caps an organization at 10 to 20 posts a day depending on the plan and switches off bulk scheduling while it runs. Ours is a free plan you keep: 300 credits a month refilled forever, one free campaign a week (3 posts, 1 video, 1 cross-post), no card, watermarked media on free.

  • How much does Hootsuite cost for a team of two or three?

Because Hootsuite bills per user, the bill multiplies. Two seats on Standard are $198 a month billed annually, or $2,376 a year; three seats are $297 a month, or $3,564 a year. The full three-by-three seat table sits further up this page.

  • What do the Hootsuite tiers actually include?

Standard gets you one calendar and up to 10 social accounts. Professional, Advanced and Enterprise each lift that ceiling to unlimited accounts. The people count is a separate row: every paid tier starts at one seat and charges per seat. The approval, assignment and sign-on tools sit on the higher tiers only.

  • Is Hootsuite priced per user or per account?

Per user, which Hootsuite calls a seat. Accounts are a separate row: Standard manages up to 10, and the tiers above it list unlimited. So a business connects its accounts once, then pays per person who sits in front of the calendar, and that is the number that makes a small team's bill climb.

  • Can I pay Hootsuite month to month instead of annually?

Hootsuite says you can, and that it costs more per user than the annual rate, but it never prints the number: not on the plans page, not on the plan pages, not at signup. With no published figure to quote, this page sticks to the annual-billed rate, which is the only price in the open.

  • How does SpeedRun Social price the same job?

Flat, not per seat. Paid plans are $49.99, $99.99 and $199.99 a month for the whole workspace, with image and video generation included, and a permanent free plan underneath: 300 credits a month refilled forever, one free campaign a week (3 posts, 1 video, 1 cross-post), no card, watermarked media on free. A three-person shop does not pay three times for the same week.

  • How current are the Hootsuite figures on this page?

Every number here was read off hootsuite.com/plans on 9 September 2026, and each claim links back to it so you can confirm it yourself. Hootsuite reprices on its own schedule and does not tell us first, so open the live page before you buy a seat.
