A SocialBee alternative that starts at your website, not a prompt

SocialBee manages and recycles the content you feed it. SpeedRun Social generates the week for you: captions per platform, images and video from your own brand, published natively after you approve. Below is what each tool assumes about your week, where SocialBee is genuinely stronger, and every SocialBee number traced to their own page.

The same week, run two ways

Feature tables hide the real difference, which is whose labour fills the calendar.

A week inside SocialBee

The queue is yours to keep fed. You write posts from prompts, pull them in from an RSS feed or a bulk import, and file everything into categories that the schedule cycles through. Evergreen posts go back into the pool when they have run, expired ones drop out, and when a category runs low you top it up. It is a genuinely good system for managing content. It also assumes the content exists because you made it, found it, or prompted for it.

A week inside SpeedRun

There is no queue to feed. SpeedRun read your website when you signed up, so each week it turns up with the campaign already made: image posts, a short video and a cross-post, captions written per platform, imagery built from your own brand rather than a template. Your part is the review queue. Change a line, swap a picture, push a date, throw one out, approve the rest, and the approved posts publish natively on schedule.

Free plan, or a trialA free plan, not a trial: one free campaign every week of 3 image posts, 1 short video and 1 cross-post, with the Brand Kit included and 300 credits a month that refill for as long as the account exists. No card is asked for. Media made on the free plan carries a small watermark that paid plans remove. No free plan appeared on the pricing page. Every plan was offered with a "14-day free trial" and "no credit card required", and the page said there were no contracts or commitments involved.Source: socialbee.com/pricing, checked 11 August 2026
Where a post startsA post starts at your website. SpeedRun turns the site into a Brand Kit, then generates the caption, the image and the video from that kit, so nothing begins with a prompt library or a blank text box.Every plan was listed with unlimited AI content generation. The home page said users can "Choose from 1000+ prompts or describe what you need and get on-brand captions and visuals instantly". It also promised months of social media content generated with the same AI.Source: socialbee.com/pricing, checked 11 August 2026

Keeping old posts aliveNo recycle queue exists. SpeedRun makes a new campaign every week instead of resharing an archive. If requeueing a library of proven posts is the workflow you want, count this row for SocialBee.The features page described category-based scheduling and evergreen recycling: posts were grouped into content categories, top-performing posts could be set "to be shared again", and expiry rules could retire a post "at a specific date or after several shares".Source: socialbee.com/features, checked 11 August 2026

Where SocialBee is the stronger tool

Anchored to what SocialBee states on socialbee.com and socialbee.com/pricing, checked 11 August 2026.

Your best posts deserve a second run

Recycling is the feature SocialBee built its reputation on. Categories, requeueing and expiry rules mean a strong post keeps earning long after you wrote it. SpeedRun has nothing comparable: we generate a fresh campaign each week and old posts stay wherever they were published. If you own a library worth resurfacing on a schedule, their machinery exists and ours does not.

More profiles for less money

On the day we checked, their cheapest plan cost less than our Starter tier and connected more profiles. That gap is structural, not a promotion: a scheduler can price low because you supply the content, and a generator cannot. If the job is many accounts on the smallest possible budget, their ladder was built for exactly that.

Threads and Bluesky are on your roster

SocialBee listed direct publishing to Threads and Bluesky alongside the usual networks. SpeedRun does not publish to either of them yet. Rather than wave at a roadmap, we will say it plainly: if those two networks carry real weight for your audience, that is a concrete reason to pick them over us.

Replying is half your job

Their engagement view collects mentions, comments and messages from the major networks into one place. SpeedRun makes and publishes posts; the conversation that follows stays on the native apps. When community management takes more of your day than content production does, their shape matches the work and ours does not.

Questions people ask on the way in

  • Is SpeedRun Social a drop-in SocialBee replacement?

For the scheduling half, mostly. Both tools put approved posts on a calendar and publish them natively. The difference is what happens before that: SocialBee expects content from you, your feeds or its prompt-driven AI, while SpeedRun generates the campaign from your website and photos without a prompt. What we do not replace is their evergreen recycle queue or their engagement inbox. If either is central to how you work, read the concessions above before switching.

  • What exactly does the free plan include?

One free campaign every week: 3 image posts, 1 short video and 1 cross-post. It comes with the Brand Kit, 300 credits a month that refill every month for as long as you keep the account, and no card requirement. Media made on the free plan carries a small watermark, which paid plans remove.

  • SocialBee advertises unlimited AI generation. Why does SpeedRun meter credits?

Because the two AIs do different jobs. Their pricing page listed unlimited AI generation on every plan, driven by a prompt library; how they cost that is their business. Ours reads your website, builds a Brand Kit, and renders images and short video from it, and that compute has a real per-generation cost, so we meter it in credits instead of calling it unlimited. The free plan's credits refill every month rather than ending with a trial.

  • Do I have to write prompts?

No. Setup asks for your website address and pulls your services, colours and photography into a Brand Kit. Every post afterwards is generated from that kit. You can steer the output by editing the kit or any single post, but a blank text box is never the starting point.

  • Which platforms does it publish to?

Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, Google Business Profile and Mailchimp, natively, on the schedule you approve. Two honest gaps against SocialBee: we do not publish to Threads or Bluesky.

  • What happens to my content if I cancel?

It stays yours. Posts, captions, images and video can be downloaded, edited and reused, and anything already published stays live on your accounts. There is no contract, no cancellation fee, and paid access runs to the end of the period you paid for.

  • How current are the SocialBee figures on this page?

Every figure was read off socialbee.com's own pricing, home and features pages on 11 August 2026, and each claim links to the page it came from. We do not quote competitor numbers from review sites or roundups. Prices and plan contents move, so check their pricing page before a number here decides anything.

Judge it on your own brand

Point it at your website, look at the week it builds, and decide from that. The free plan asks for no card and does not expire.
