    Honest limitation

    The AI Assistant writes from the prompt you type, not from anything the tool knows about your business, so the brand voice is whatever you remember to describe each time. It makes no images and no video, which leaves the harder half of a post where it was.     Its AI writing lives inside the editor, so the caption gets drafted in the same tab as the artwork instead of in a separate tool that knows nothing about it. For anyone who already designs posts here, that adjacency is the whole case, and the free tier makes it cost nothing to test.

    What it costs
    The page opens on Yearly with a Save 16% badge, where Pro read US$180 per year for one person and Business US$250 per year per person. Pressing the billing switch to Monthly changed both, to US$18 a month for one person and US$25 a month per person, each billed monthly. The Free plan reads US$0 and lists up to 200 Standard AI uses or 20 Premium AI uses, 1 Brand Kit limited to 3 colors and 5GB of storage.     Honest limitation

    The free AI allowance is one shared pool across every AI tool in the product, and the page prints no per-tool breakdown, so a handful of image generations can spend what you were keeping for captions. An asterisked note adds that higher-tier AI consumes more of the allowance and that usage varies by tool.     Caption writing, design and a social calendar arrive on one bill, and the cheapest tier already covers seven connected accounts, which is more than most people asking this question have. It is the tool on this page that comes closest to Buffer's shape with a generator attached.

    The page opens on the Yearly tab, badged Upto 35% Off, where Pro read $19, Business $49 and Growth $149 a month billed annually.     One self-serve plan, five seats on it, and no cap on the words. It is a writing surface rather than a social tool, and the plan card reads that way: models, seats and projects, with nothing about channels or calendars anywhere on it.

    What it costs
    This card is the only one in the set that opens on monthly, and it ships both views at once. The monthly view listed the Chat plan at $29 a month, Billed monthly; the annual view of the same card listed $24 a month, Billed $288 a year, against a 20% Saving badge. Chat covers 5 seats, unlimited words in chat, unlimited chat projects and access to OpenAI, Anthropic and Gemini models.     Honest limitation

    The page publishes no free plan and names no trial. It also does none of the rest of the job: no scheduler, no image generation, no connected accounts, so every caption written here is carried somewhere else by hand.     It treats the caption as part of the creative rather than as a separate errand, so a single run returns an image or a carousel with the words already attached. The catch is not in the headline number, it is one line down inside the tier list, and it is spelled out in the limitation beside this.

    What it costs
    The page opens on Annually behind a 50% off badge, where Core read $19 a month with $230 Billed Yearly beneath it, Rise $40 a month with $474 Billed Yearly, and Enterprise+ $212 a month with $2,540 Billed Yearly. Pressing the toggle to Monthly dropped the yearly lines and the discount badges and changed the three figures to $32, $79 and $249 a month billed monthly.     Keeps brand voice as a real object, at the highest entry price

    Brand voices, audiences and uploaded company knowledge are stored things you point the writer at, not sentences you paste into a prompt each time. It ranks last on the measure this page uses and near the top on a different one, which the method section below says out loud rather than burying.

    What it costs
    The page opens on its Yearly tab, where Pro read $59 month/seat, which is the annual rate. Pressing Monthly moved the selection and changed the figure to $69 month/seat, billed monthly. Pro includes 1 seat, 2 Brand Voices, 5 multi-modal knowledge assets and 3 audiences, and the button beside it reads Start Free 7-Day Trial. How this list was ranked

Our stake, before the list rather than underneath it: SpeedRun Social is ours, it sits at number two, and Buffer sits above it. Anyone can rank themselves first. The only thing that makes a vendor's roundup worth reading is being told whose page you are on while you still have the option to close it.

Caption means two different jobs, and the search results for the phrase mix them freely. One is the sentence you write under a photo. The other is the text burnt onto a video to track what is being said, which is subtitling. Every tool below does the first. If you came here for burnt-in video text, nothing on this page is built for it, and knowing that now saves reading seven pricing summaries that cannot help you.

On 28 August 2026 each vendor's pricing page was opened in a real browser and read there rather than fetched. That was necessary rather than fussy. Canva returned a 403 to the first request that did not present as a browser, and Simplified renders each plan price inside a web component that carries the number in an attribute instead of as text, so a plain read of that page returns the words per month and billed annually with no figure between them. Nothing here is restated from a review site, from another roundup or from an assistant's answer.

Five of these six pricing pages open with the annual price already chosen: Canva, Buffer, Simplified, Predis.ai and Jasper. Copy.ai is the only one that opens on monthly. So the first number nearly everyone sees is a yearly commitment, and putting that beside our own monthly prices would flatter whoever happens to be quoted annually. Every priced entry below gives both, and where a toggle existed it was pressed and the figures were confirmed to move before either was written down. Copy.ai is the exception: its toggle would not respond, so its two numbers were taken from the two views its own card ships.

The measure is how much caption writing a tool does before it asks for money. Buffer and our own product keep plans with no end date on them. Canva keeps a free tier with a stated monthly allowance. The other four publish no free plan and are ordered by their cheapest month-to-month price. A credit, an AI use and a word are not the same unit, so the ordering inside the free band is closer to a tie than the numbers make it look; read that pair on what else you need rather than on which figure is larger.

Two entries are ranked lower than they deserve on any other measure. Jasper is the only tool here that stores brand voices, audiences and company knowledge as objects you point a writer at, and if captions have to sound identical coming from four people, its entry belongs at the top of a page ranked that way. Copy.ai is in the same position on writing quality with nothing else in the box. Both are last here because this page ranks by what you can do before paying, and both publish nothing free.
