Comparison

A Simplified alternative when you want the posts, not the whole suite

Simplified is a design and AI-agent suite that also posts. SpeedRun Social is a post pipeline: the week, generated from your website. Below is the honest split, including the pricing confusion we found on their page, and where Simplified is genuinely the better buy.

The same week, run two ways

Feature tables hide the real difference, which is whose labour fills the calendar.

A week inside Simplified

You open a creative suite, not a calendar. The job might start in a design file, a video timeline or an AI writer before it ever reaches a social queue, and Riley sits over the top promising to plan, create and approve. For a designer or a one-person team that wears every hat, that breadth is the point: one seat for the logo, the ad, the thumbnail and the caption. The honest catch is that the week is still assembled from many tools, and you decide how much the agents get to run.

A week inside SpeedRun

There is one pipeline and it is already moving. SpeedRun read your website when you signed up, so each week it turns up with the campaign made: three image posts, a short video and a cross-post, captions written per platform, imagery from your own brand. Your part is the review queue. Approve and it publishes. It does not make logos, edit reels or write ad copy; it makes the week's social posts, end to end.

What to compareSpeedRun SocialSimplified
Free plan, or a trialA free plan, not a trial: one free campaign every week of 3 image posts, 1 short video and 1 cross-post, with the Brand Kit included and 300 credits a month that refill for as long as the account exists. No card is asked for. Media made on the free plan carries a small watermark that paid plans remove. The social-media page FAQ said "Yes! We have a Free Forever plan", listing "unlimited design projects, 1000+ fonts, millions of photos and icons, thousands of templates, instant publishing, and 1GB of storage". The pricing page itself listed only Starter, Pro and Business plus a trial, so the free plan lives off the pricing page.Source: simplified.com/social-media, checked 18 August 2026
Where a post startsA post starts at your website. SpeedRun turns the site into a Brand Kit, then generates the caption, the image and the video from that kit, so nothing begins with an agent you have to train or a blank design file. The home page listed AI Copilot, Riley ("Plans, creates, approves, and publishes social"), an "AI Bulk Post Generator" that makes many posts from one idea, and an "AI Chatbot" to train an assistant on your business.Source: simplified.com, checked 18 August 2026
Paid ladder$49.99 a month on Starter, or $39.99 a month billed annually. $199.99 a month on Pro, or $159.99 a month billed annually, and nothing quote-only sits above it.The pricing page listed Simplified Starter at "Annual $79.00/mo (billed annually)" and "Monthly $59.00/mo", with 5 campaigns a month, 100K AI words, 100 AI designs, 50 AI videos, 7 social accounts, 5GB storage and 1 brand kit. Simplified Pro was listed at $99.00 a month annual and $119.00 a month monthly, and Simplified Business at $199.00 a month annual and $239.00 a month monthly. The page's meta description read "Simplified Starter from $79/mo." Note the Starter annual figure sits higher than its monthly figure, the reverse of Pro and Business, so the exact Starter split is UNVERIFIED.Source: simplified.com/pricing, checked 18 August 2026
A design suite, not just postsSpeedRun makes social posts and nothing else. If the job is logos, video editing, ad creative and social in one seat, Simplified bundles all of it. We do the weekly post pipeline only, so count this row for Simplified when the creative breadth matters more than the cadence. The home page listed AI image, video, writer, ads and content generators alongside social publishing, positioning Simplified as a design and creative suite rather than only a scheduler.Source: simplified.com, checked 18 August 2026

Every Simplified cell above is a quotation read off simplified.com on 18 August 2026 and linked back to its page. One thing to flag honestly: Simplified's pricing page prints its Starter annual figure higher than its monthly figure, the reverse of its Pro and Business tiers, and its billing system returns yet another plan list, so the page appears to be mid-migration. Treat their pricing page as the only reliable source until that settles.

Where Simplified is the stronger tool

Anchored to what Simplified states on its own pages, checked 18 August 2026. These are the jobs where you should pick them, said plainly rather than hidden in a footnote.

You also need design and video

Simplified bundles graphic design, video, an AI writer and ad tools alongside social publishing. SpeedRun makes the weekly social post and nothing else. If the job is a logo today and a reel tomorrow and a caption the day after, their suite matches the work and ours does not. That is a real reason to pick them.

The agentic workflow is the draw

Their pitch is agents that plan, create, approve and publish end to end, with your team staying in control of every approval. SpeedRun generates the week and hands you a review queue; we do not ship a marketing agent that runs whole campaigns on its own. If you want the agent, Simplified is selling it and we are not.

Instagram personal profiles and Reddit

Their social-media page enumerates Instagram Personal Profiles and Reddit alongside the usual networks. SpeedRun publishes to business profiles and does not post to Reddit. If a personal account or a subreddit is where your audience lives, that is a concrete reason to pick them over us.

A free design tier, on its own

Simplified's Free Forever plan is a design freebie: unlimited design projects, fonts, photos, icons and templates, with a small storage cap. Ours is a social generator, not a design tool. If what you need free is a design tool and the social posts can wait, count this row for Simplified.

Questions people ask on the way in

  • Is SpeedRun Social a drop-in Simplified replacement?

Not for the design half. Simplified is a design and AI-agent suite that also posts; SpeedRun Social is a post pipeline that makes the week from your website. If you came looking for a steady posting cadence, we replace that job well. If you also need logos, video editing or ad creative in the same seat, they are built for it and we are not, and the concessions above say so.

  • Does Simplified have a free plan or a trial?

Both, in a roundabout way. Their social-media page describes a Free Forever plan for design, with unlimited design projects, fonts, photos, icons and templates, and a 1GB storage cap. Their pricing page separately lists a trial of the full Starter plan. The two live on different pages, and only Starter, Pro and Business appear on the pricing page itself.

  • What exactly does the free plan include?

One free campaign every week: 3 image posts, 1 short video and 1 cross-post. It comes with the Brand Kit, 300 credits a month that refill every month for as long as you keep the account, and no card requirement. Media made on the free plan carries a small watermark, which paid plans remove.

  • What is going on with Simplified's pricing?

Their own pricing page prints Starter with its annual price higher than its monthly price, the reverse of their Pro and Business tiers. Their billing system also returns a different plan list. We read both, and we treat the Starter split as unverified rather than smoothing over the contradiction. Their page is the only reliable source until it settles.

  • Do I have to write prompts or train an agent?

No. Setup asks for your website address and pulls your services, colours and photography into a Brand Kit. Every post afterwards is generated from that kit. You can steer the output by editing the kit or any single post, but training an agent is never the starting point.

  • How current are the Simplified figures on this page?

Every figure was read off simplified.com's own home, pricing and social-media pages on 18 August 2026, and each claim links to the page it came from. Their pricing appears mid-migration, with the Starter split unverified, so their page is the one to trust before a number here decides anything.

Judge it on your own brand

Point it at your website, look at the week it builds, and decide from that. The free plan asks for no card and does not expire.
