Ranked for financial technology companies

Best social media tools for fintech companies in 2026

Eight tools ranked by how much of the whole job each does before a fintech company pays anything, where the job includes a sign-off before anything publishes. Each price was read from the vendor's own page on 2 October 2026, and the publisher, which sells one of the eight, says so first.

SpeedRun Social is entry one and starts free: one campaign a week with 3 posts, 1 video and 1 cross-post, plus 300 credits a month refilled forever. No card, and free-plan media carries a small watermark.

Compliance reads every word of a rate change before it goes anywhere, and a scheduled post is no exception. SpeedRun Social ranks first here because it writes the post, makes the image and a short video, and holds each one until someone on your team approves it, all on a free plan.

We sell SpeedRun Social, and it is first on one criterion: the whole job, sign-off included, done before you pay anything. Approval is not compliance, though. Our queue is a yes from a person on your team, not a review against financial promotion rules, and it keeps no archive a regulator would ask for.

The eight split four ways. Two are planners that lead with approvals, four are schedulers whose sign-off step sits on a paid tier, one is a suite priced per user, and one, ours, writes and designs the post as well as holding it. Each entry names the plan where its sign-off lives and what that plan costs.

The whole job, cell by cell

The same eight tools, read the way the ranking reads them, with the plan that carries each vendor's sign-off step in the last column. A cell says what the vendor's own page said on 2 October 2026, never more.

Every priced claim below links to the vendor page it was read from and the date it was read. Where a vendor publishes a monthly price and an annual one, both are quoted.

  1. SpeedRun Social

    our product

    AI content generator

The one that writes, designs and waits for a sign-off, on the free plan

SpeedRun Social reads your company's site into a brand kit, writes each post in your product's own terms, makes the image and a short video, and holds every post in an approval queue until someone on your team approves it, on every plan including the free one. For a fintech company that queue is the point, because a fee, a rate or a settlement time stated wrongly in public costs more than a missed post. Disclosure: this is our product and this is our list, and it sits first because its free plan does the whole job, the sign-off included.

    What SpeedRun Social costs
SpeedRun Social's free plan: 300 credits a month refilled forever, one free campaign a week (3 posts, 1 video, 1 cross-post), no card, watermarked media on free. SpeedRun Social's paid plans are $49.99, $99.99 and $199.99 a month billed monthly, or $39.99, $79.99 and $159.99 a month billed annually. speedrunsocial.com/pricing, checked 2 October 2026
Who SpeedRun Social is best for
SpeedRun Social suits a fintech team without a social media person, which wants posts drafted and designed from what its own site already says and wants nothing published until someone has read it.

    SpeedRun Social: honest limitation

SpeedRun Social keeps no compliance archive and checks nothing against financial promotion rules; its approval is a yes from someone on your team, not a legal review. Planable and Loomly offer more approval structure, Publer costs less for a team that writes its own posts, free-plan media carries a watermark, and we are the youngest company on this page. speedrunsocial.com/pricing, checked 2 October 2026

  2. Planable

    Approval-first planner

Approvals first, with the first 50 posts free

Planable is a content planner that puts approval in the middle of the work: Basic lists two types of approval, Pro three and Enterprise multi-level approvals, with unlimited users on every plan. Its first 50 posts are free with no time limit, which lets a team test the sign-off flow, but it makes no images or video, so the visuals still come from someone on the team.

    What Planable costs
Planable's pricing page said the first 50 posts are free, with no time limit and no credit card required. Basic read $39 per workspace a month billed monthly or $33 billed yearly, and Pro $59 per workspace a month billed monthly or $49 billed yearly. Basic covers 60 posts and 4 social pages per workspace a month, Pro 150 posts and 10 pages. planable.io/pricing, checked 2 October 2026
    Who Planable is best for
Planable suits a fintech marketing team where legal or compliance reviews each post inside the calendar and several people need to comment before anything ships.

    Planable: honest limitation

Planable makes no images and no video, and its free allowance is 50 posts in total rather than a monthly refill. Its comparison table lists AI post rewrite and AI post generation without showing on this read which plans include them, and analytics and the social inbox are paid add-ons. planable.io/pricing, checked 2 October 2026

  3. Publer

    Scheduler

AI text and images on every plan, sign-off with paid members

Publer is a scheduler priced per social account whose AI Assist writes text and creates photos on every plan, free included. Its approval workflows come with additional team members, which are paid, so the free plan has one user and no sign-off step between the AI's draft and the published post.

    What Publer costs
Publer's plans page listed a free plan at $0.00 with 1 user, 3 social accounts excluding X, 10 scheduled posts per account and a 24-hour post history. Professional read $5.00 a month billed monthly or $4.00 billed yearly, and Business $10.00 billed monthly or $8.00 billed yearly, per social account, with additional members for approval workflows priced separately. publer.com/plans, checked 2 October 2026
    Who Publer is best for
Publer suits a fintech founder who writes and checks every post personally and wants text and images made for a few dollars a month.

    Publer: honest limitation

Publer makes no video, and its approval workflows need paid additional members, so a sign-off step costs more than the per-account price suggests. Its free plan cannot connect X and keeps published posts for only 24 hours. publer.com/plans, checked 2 October 2026

  4. Buffer

    Scheduler

A calm queue, with approvals on the Team plan

Buffer is a scheduler priced per channel with a free plan for three channels, and its Team plan adds content approval workflows and unlimited team members. Its AI Assistant refines text rather than writing from scratch and it makes no images or video, so the fintech team brings the words and the visuals while Buffer brings the queue and the sign-off.

    What Buffer costs
Buffer's pricing page listed a free plan for up to 3 channels with 10 scheduled posts per channel and 1 user. Essentials read $6 a month per channel billed monthly or $5 billed yearly, and Team $12 a month per channel billed monthly or $10 billed yearly ($120 a year), with unlimited team members and content approval workflows. buffer.com/pricing, checked 2 October 2026
    Who Buffer is best for
Buffer suits a fintech team that already writes and designs its posts and needs an approval step and a predictable queue at a per-channel price.

    Buffer: honest limitation

Buffer's approval workflows start on Team at $12 a channel a month billed monthly, so the sign-off is paid for once per channel. Its pricing page lists no image or video generation on any plan, and its AI Assistant is described as refining and repurposing your content. buffer.com/pricing, checked 2 October 2026

  5. Metricool

    Scheduler and analytics

Reporting first, with post approval on Advanced

Metricool is a scheduler with analytics, priced per brand, whose post approval system and team roles start on the Advanced plan. Its free plan publishes to one brand's networks, minus LinkedIn and X, with no approval step, which for a fintech company leaves out the two networks and the safeguard that matter most.

    What Metricool costs
Metricool's pricing page printed both ladders. Billed monthly, Starter read from $25 a month for up to 5 brands, and Advanced, which carries the post approval system, from $67 a month for 15 brands. Billed annually, the same tiers read from $20 and from $53 a month. The free plan covers 1 brand, every network except LinkedIn and X, and 20 scheduled posts a month. metricool.com/pricing, checked 2 October 2026
    Who Metricool is best for
Metricool suits a fintech marketing lead who wants reporting and competitor tracking beside the calendar and will pay for Advanced to get approvals.

    Metricool: honest limitation

Metricool makes no images and no video, its approval system starts on Advanced from $67 a month billed monthly or $53 billed annually, and its free plan leaves out LinkedIn and X. Its pricing page does not say what its AI social media assistant produces. metricool.com/pricing, checked 2 October 2026

  6. SocialPilot

    Scheduler for teams

Manager approval from the second tier

SocialPilot is a scheduler sold by plan, each with a set number of accounts and users, and its Standard plan lists manager approval while Premium adds client approval. Every plan includes AI credits, but its plans page names no image or video generation, and there is no free plan, only a 14-day trial.

    What SocialPilot costs
SocialPilot's plans page listed Essentials at $30 a month billed monthly or $25.50 billed annually, Standard at $50 or $42.50, Premium at $100 or $85 and Ultimate at $200 or $170. Standard covers 15 social accounts, 3 users and 1,000 AI credits with manager approval, and each plan starts with a 14-day trial with no credit card required. socialpilot.co/plans, checked 2 October 2026
    Who SocialPilot is best for
SocialPilot suits a fintech team of three that wants manager approval, 15 accounts and AI writing credits for one fixed monthly price.

    SocialPilot: honest limitation

SocialPilot has no free plan, its cheapest tier has no approval step, and its plans page names no image or video generation. Extra users are an add-on on the plans that allow them, so a longer sign-off chain raises the bill. socialpilot.co/plans, checked 2 October 2026

  7. Loomly

    Content calendar

Approval workflows and roles from the first paid tier

Loomly is a content calendar with approval workflows and roles on its Starter plan, plus an AI assistant chat and post generation, for up to 12 social accounts and 3 users. It lists no image or video generation, and its pricing page offers a free trial rather than a free plan.

    What Loomly costs
Loomly's pricing page listed Starter at $65 a month billed monthly or $49 a month billed yearly ($588 a year), with 12 social accounts, 3 users and approval workflows and roles. Beyond read $332 a month billed monthly or $249 billed yearly ($2,988 a year), with 60 accounts and unlimited users. loomly.com/pricing, checked 2 October 2026
    Who Loomly is best for
Loomly suits a fintech team that wants approval workflows from the first paid tier and an AI that drafts posts inside the calendar.

    Loomly: honest limitation

Loomly has no free plan, only a free trial, and its pricing page names no image or video generation. A team bigger than three people jumps from Starter to Beyond, $332 a month billed monthly. loomly.com/pricing, checked 2 October 2026

  8. Hootsuite

    Management suite

The only entry that names compliance, on its top tier

Hootsuite is a management suite priced per user whose Standard plan generates posts and images with AI, and whose Advanced plan adds review-and-approve for teams. Its Enterprise plan lists custom compliance solutions, the only compliance offer on this page, priced on request.

    What Hootsuite costs
Hootsuite's plans page listed Standard at $99 per user a month, Professional at $199 and Advanced at $399, all billed annually, with no month-to-month price printed and a free 14-day trial on each. Advanced adds review and approval, and Enterprise, priced on request, lists custom compliance solutions and single sign-on. hootsuite.com/plans, checked 2 October 2026
    Who Hootsuite is best for
Hootsuite suits a larger fintech company whose compliance team needs an enterprise contract, single sign-on and custom compliance tooling, and which buys software by the seat.

    Hootsuite: honest limitation

Hootsuite has no free plan, and its review-and-approve step is listed on Advanced at $399 per user a month billed annually, with no month-to-month price printed. Its plans page names no video generation. hootsuite.com/plans, checked 2 October 2026

How this list was ranked

The stake first: we build SpeedRun Social, it is entry one of eight, and it sits above Planable and Publer, two tools we do not own. A fintech buyer should read any vendor's list as a vendor's list, so the stake is printed before the ranking rather than under it.

On 2 October 2026 each vendor's own pricing page was opened in a real browser, its address checked against the one requested, and its billing control pressed both ways before a figure was written down. No figure on this page comes from a review site, another list or an assistant.

Every price names its billing mode. Vendors that print a monthly and an annual figure have both quoted, and Hootsuite, which prints only annual figures, says so in its entry. Where approval sits on a higher tier, the entry names that tier and its price, because for a fintech company the sign-off is part of what is being bought.

The order follows the criterion at the top of the page: how much of the whole job a tool does before you pay anything, where the whole job is a post written, an image and a short video made, a sign-off held and the post published, then the cheapest price for the whole job. A free plan that covers more of that list ranks higher; tools without a free plan rank by the monthly price of their cheapest plan with a sign-off step.

Approval is not compliance. None of these tools, ours included, checks a post against financial promotion rules, and only one entry, Hootsuite's Enterprise plan, names compliance solutions on its pricing page. Treat every sign-off step here as a place for your own reviewer to stand, not as a review.

There are no stars, scores or customer counts on this page. Each claim links to its source page with the date it was read, so check the vendor's page again before a figure decides a contract.

The honest part

Planable is the choice when the review process is the product: two or three types of approval, unlimited users and comments on the post itself, from $39 per workspace a month billed monthly. If your compliance reviewer lives in the calendar, Planable has more approval structure than SpeedRun Social.

Publer is the cheaper choice for a founder who checks every post personally, at $5.00 a month billed monthly per social account with AI text and images on every plan. And if your company needs an archive or a compliance contract, nothing on this list except Hootsuite's Enterprise plan even names one.

What we will not claim: no ratings, no customer counts, no compliance badge we have not earned. We are the youngest company on this page, and our approval queue is a yes from your team, not a legal review. The reason we rank first is the plain one, the whole job on a free plan with every post held until someone approves it.

Questions fintech teams ask about this list

  • What is the best social media tool for a fintech company?

SpeedRun Social, our own product, on the criterion this page ranks by: it writes the post, makes the image and a short video, and holds every post until someone on your team approves it, on a free plan with no end date. If your reviewers need several approval stages, Planable leads on that, and Hootsuite is the only entry that names compliance solutions, on its Enterprise plan.

  • Which social media tools have approval workflows?

All eight have a sign-off step somewhere. SpeedRun Social holds every post on every plan, free included. Planable lists approvals on every plan, Loomly on Starter, Buffer on Team, SocialPilot on Standard, Metricool on Advanced, Hootsuite on Advanced, and Publer through paid team members. The entries below name the price of each of those plans.

  • Is an approval step the same as compliance review?

No. An approval step lets a reviewer see a post before it publishes; it does not check the post against financial promotion rules, keep a regulator-grade archive or record supervision. Only Hootsuite's Enterprise plan names compliance solutions on its pricing page, so ask any vendor directly before relying on a tool for a regulated communication.

  • Is there a free social media tool for fintech companies?

Publer, Buffer and Metricool keep free plans with no end date, but none of the three includes an approval step on free. Planable's first 50 posts are free with approvals and no time limit. Ours is 300 credits a month refilled forever, one free campaign a week (3 posts, 1 video, 1 cross-post), no card, watermarked media on free, and every post on it waits for your approval. SocialPilot, Loomly and Hootsuite run trials instead.

  • What does a fintech company pay for social media software with approvals?

On the pages read on 2 October 2026: Buffer Team at $12 a channel a month billed monthly or $10 billed yearly, Planable Basic at $39 per workspace a month billed monthly or $33 billed yearly, SocialPilot Standard at $50 billed monthly or $42.50 billed annually, Loomly Starter at $65 billed monthly or $49 billed yearly, Metricool Advanced from $67 billed monthly or $53 billed annually, and Hootsuite Advanced at $399 per user a month billed annually. SpeedRun Social includes its approval queue on the free plan.

  • Should a fintech company use AI to write social posts?

Only with a person reading every post before it goes out. AI gets the tone right more often than the facts, and in finance a wrong fee or rate is the expensive mistake. SpeedRun Social writes from your own site and waits for a yes; Publer, Loomly and Hootsuite list AI that generates posts, SocialPilot includes AI credits on every plan, and Buffer reworks what you wrote.

  • Who should approve a fintech company's social posts?

Whoever would sign off the same sentence on your website or in an email to customers. For most small fintech teams that is a founder plus whoever owns compliance, and an approval step is only as good as the person standing in it.

Put one announcement through it

The free plans and trials above exist so a fintech team can put one real announcement through two tools and see which one it trusts. Ours has no countdown, and every post waits for your sign-off before it publishes.
