Ranked for grooming salons

Best social media tools for pet groomers in 2026

Eight tools ranked by how much public marketing each one produces from a groom that photographs itself, each priced from the vendor's own page on one named date, with the owner's-yes step that decides first place answered before the ranking, by a company that sells one of the eight.

Ours is entry one, and it starts free every week: 3 posts, 1 video, 1 cross-post, plus 300 credits a month refilled forever. No card asked for, and free-plan media carries a small watermark.

By four the week's best post is already in a groomer's phone: the matted shih tzu that walked in now stands clipped and fluffed, an after shot no caption service can fake. SpeedRun Social ranks first here because it writes the caption a groomer would and holds every post for the owner's yes before it publishes.

The stake first: SpeedRun Social is ours, and it sits at number one because of that one step a grooming post cannot skip. A client's dog is not a product shot, the before-and-after that proves the skill also shows somebody's pet, and posting it without permission loses a client faster than a bad cut. Our approval queue holds every post until you clear it, and it posts to Google Business Profile too, where a pet owner searching for a groomer with an opening this week actually looks.

These eight are not one kind of software. Three are social tools that write or queue a post, and five are booking software that runs the salon and happens to list a marketing add-on. Each entry names its kind above its price, so you can skip the rows that answer a different question than the one you asked, and the order below ranks them by how much marketing each produces from a groom that photographs itself.

The split, answered at a glance

The same eight tools, read the way the opening asks them to be read: which one posts, and which one books. A cell says what the vendor's own pricing page said on 17 September 2026, never more.

Every priced claim below links to the vendor page it was read from and the date it was read. Where a vendor publishes a monthly price and an annual one, both are quoted.

  1. SpeedRun Social

    our product

    AI content generator

The one that holds a client's dog for the owner's yes

It reads your salon's website into a brand kit, then writes the caption in your voice and the trade's vocabulary, a breed name spelled right and a shave-down explained calmly, generates the image and cuts a short video around the after shot your phone already took, and every post waits in an approval queue until you release it. That queue is the reason it ranks first: a client's dog is not a product shot, and the before-and-after that proves your skill also needs the owner's yes before it goes public. Disclosure: this is our product and this is our list, and it sits at number one because no other tool on this page holds that yes for you.

What it costs at one location
Free plan: 300 credits a month refilled forever, one free campaign a week (3 posts, 1 video, 1 cross-post), no card, watermarked media on free. Paid plans are $49.99, $99.99 and $199.99 a month billed monthly, or $39.99, $79.99 and $159.99 a month billed annually. speedrunsocial.com/pricing, checked 17 September 2026
    Best for
A grooming salon that photographs the dog on the table and wants the before-and-after turned into a caption, an image and a short video with the trade's vocabulary already in it, held for the owner's yes before anything publishes.

    Honest limitation

It costs more than Publer for a feed you are happy to write yourself, and it does not book appointments or chase reviews, so the calendar and the review loop stay somebody's job here. Free-plan media carries a watermark, we are the youngest company on this page, and a groomer who wants the cheapest possible queue, or booking built into the same tool, should look at Publer or the booking software below first. speedrunsocial.com/pricing, checked 17 September 2026

  2. Publer

    Scheduler

The cheapest queue, and it posts to Google

A scheduler priced per social account rather than per seat, which suits a salon running one Facebook page and a Google listing. Its plans page names Google Business Profiles among the things it publishes, so the before-and-after can go to the profile a pet owner reaches through a "groomer near me" search rather than only to a feed. It is the smallest monthly number on this page for a tool that actually posts, and it posts nothing it did not write, so the two sentences still have to come from you.

What it costs at one location
Its plans page prints both billing modes inside the same card. Professional read $5.00 a month billed monthly or $4.00 a month billed yearly, and Business read $10.00 a month billed monthly or $8.00 a month billed yearly, with a 7-day and a 14-day trial respectively. A free forever tier is listed at $0.00 with 1 user, 3 social accounts excluding X, 10 scheduled posts per account and 24-hour post history. Enterprise is billed yearly and quoted on request. publer.com/plans, checked 17 September 2026
    Best for
A grooming salon whose phone already photographs the dog and which wants the queue handled for a few dollars a month instead of posted at nine at night, and which is happy writing its own captions.

    Honest limitation

It generates no images and no video, so an empty camera roll stays an empty calendar, and it writes no caption either, so the two sentences still have to come from somewhere. Pricing is per social account, and the page notes that for every 9 accounts the 10th is free, a scale a single-location salon reaches only by running several branded profiles. publer.com/plans, checked 17 September 2026

  3. Metricool

    Scheduler and analytics

Scheduling plus the numbers, and Google in the list

A scheduler with analytics and competitor tracking attached, and Google Business Profile named on the pricing page itself. A salon owner who wants to know whether a season of posting moves anything, rather than only that it happened, is paying for the reporting half as much as the publishing half. It writes nothing and makes nothing, so the caption and the photo still come from the table.

What it costs at one location
Its plans page prints two full ladders and carries a save up to 24% annual label. Billed monthly, Starter read from $25 a month for 5 brands and Advanced from $67 a month for 15 brands up to $210 for 50. Billed annually, the same tiers read from $20 a month and then from $53 up to $159. A free tier is listed at $0 covering 1 brand, every network except LinkedIn and X, up to 20 scheduled posts a month and 30 days of analytics. metricool.com/pricing, checked 17 September 2026
    Best for
A grooming business large enough to care whether the posts move anything, with somebody willing to read a monthly report.

    Honest limitation

It makes no images or video and writes no caption either, and its paid ladder starts at five brands, which is four more than a single salon usually has, so the cheapest paid tier is priced for an agency and sold to one location at the same number. The free tier caps scheduling at 20 posts a month and leaves out LinkedIn and X. metricool.com/pricing, checked 17 September 2026

  4. MoeGo

    Grooming business software

Scheduling for mobile grooming, marketing at the top tier

Grooming business software first, not a social tool: it runs scheduling, client records and payments for a mobile or shop-based groomer, and its Growth plan names Marketing & Promotions among its features. That is the closest a booking tool on this page gets to marketing, and it is still not a social feed, so the before-and-after that should be public still waits for a separate tool.

What it costs at one location
Its pricing page showed a Growth plan at $99 a month billed monthly under a Mobile grooming header, with Marketing & Promotions listed among the Growth features. Basic, Ultimate and Enterprise printed no dollar figure, and the page points to booking a demo for those. No annual rate printed. moego.pet/pricing, checked 17 September 2026
    Best for
A mobile grooming operation that wants scheduling, routes and client records in one place and is willing to pay for the Growth tier to get its marketing add-on, and which posts to social some other way.

    Honest limitation

The marketing it names is promotions and campaigns inside the booking software, not posts to Instagram or Facebook, and its pricing page never mentions a social feed or Google Business Profile. At $99 a month billed monthly for the tier that includes it, it is the second-priciest entry on this page for marketing that still does not post a dog photo anywhere public. moego.pet/pricing, checked 17 September 2026

  5. Gingr

    Pet-care facility software

Booking and payments with marketing tools in every plan

Software for pet-care facilities that lists Marketing Tools as included with every plan, from the Spa tier up. Spa is the plan it says is designed for groomers and trainers, and it bundles booking, payments, reminders and client communication, so the marketing it does is the automated kind, a reminder and a promotion, not a public before-and-after post.

What it costs at one location
Its page listed Spa at $100 a month billed monthly with an annual subscription that saves 9% ($108 a year), and it says pricing is shown with Integrated Payments active, listing $209 a month billed monthly or $179 a month billed annually without them. Play read $142 a month and Stay $154 a month, both billed monthly. Marketing Tools are listed as included with every plan. gingrapp.com/pricing, checked 17 September 2026
    Best for
A grooming or training facility that wants booking, payments and automated client communication in one platform and treats social media as a separate, manual job.

    Honest limitation

Marketing Tools is a broad label the page never ties to a social feed, and its pricing page does not mention Instagram, Facebook or Google Business Profile, so the before-and-after photo still needs somewhere else to live. Spa at $100 a month billed monthly makes it the priciest entry on this page, and the discount only appears on an annual commitment. gingrapp.com/pricing, checked 17 September 2026

  6. DaySmart Pet

    Pet business software

Scheduling and payments, email marketing at Deluxe

Pet business software that runs scheduling, reminders and payments, with Email Marketing listed as a Deluxe feature. The marketing it does is email, which reaches the clients a salon already has rather than the ones still searching, and it publishes nothing to a social feed.

What it costs at one location
Its page listed Basic at $29 a month billed monthly with payments or $39 without, and Deluxe at $69 a month billed monthly with payments or $89 without, with Email Marketing listed under Deluxe. Deluxe Growth and Premium ran higher. No annual rate printed. daysmart.com/pet/pricing, checked 17 September 2026
    Best for
A salon that wants scheduling, payments and client email in one tool and already treats its social feed as a separate manual job.

    Honest limitation

Email Marketing is a Deluxe feature, so the $29 a month billed monthly Basic plan a solo groomer buys does not include it, and it is email, not a social feed, so it reaches existing clients rather than the owners still searching. Its pricing page does not name Instagram, Facebook or Google Business Profile. daysmart.com/pet/pricing, checked 17 September 2026

  7. Time To Pet

    Pet-care scheduling software

Scheduling and invoicing, email marketing at Solo

Scheduling software for pet-care businesses whose Lite plan is a bare scheduling and invoicing tool, and whose Solo plan adds email marketing for a one-person company. The marketing it does is email to a list, not a public before-and-after, and the social feed still needs a separate tool.

What it costs at one location
Its page opened on the Monthly toggle and listed Lite at $25 a month billed monthly and Solo at $50 a month billed monthly, with email marketing named in the Solo plan. Team was priced from $40 a month plus $16 a month per active staff, billed monthly. An Annually toggle sat beside the monthly figures, and its discounted figures were not shown on this read. timetopet.com/pricing, checked 17 September 2026
    Best for
A solo groomer or sitter who wants scheduling and invoicing first and treats marketing as a list to email, not a feed to grow.

    Honest limitation

It writes no captions, makes no images and posts to no social network, so the dog photo still waits for a separate tool, and its marketing lives in email rather than on a feed a stranger can find. Solo's email marketing is gated behind the $50 a month billed monthly plan rather than the $25 a month billed monthly Lite one. timetopet.com/pricing, checked 17 September 2026

  8. PawPartner

    Grooming and boarding software

Grooming-only booking with a review request

Software built by pet business owners for grooming and boarding, priced for a grooming-only salon at one low number, and it can ask a client to review the visit after it happens. That is the review half of marketing, not the posting half, so the before-and-after photo still needs a separate tool to reach a feed.

What it costs at one location
Its page listed a Grooming Only plan at $44.99 a month billed monthly, or $479.88 billed annually with 11% off. A Boarding, Daycare and Multi-Service plan read $99.99 a month billed monthly, or $1079.88 billed annually with 10% off. The page notes a one-month deposit is required at account build. pawpartner.com/pricing, checked 17 September 2026
    Best for
A grooming-only salon that wants booking and a review-request loop for a single low price, and which posts to social some other way.

    Honest limitation

It writes no captions, makes no images and posts to no social network, and its pricing page never mentions a feed or Google Business Profile. The review request asks a client after a visit rather than putting a post in front of a stranger, so the public half of marketing still waits for a separate tool. pawpartner.com/pricing, checked 17 September 2026

How this list was ranked

The stake first: we build SpeedRun Social, it is entry one of eight, and it sits above Publer and Metricool, two schedulers we do not own. A vendor's roundup earns a grooming salon owner's time only when the stake is stated before the ranking rather than under it, so it is said here.

Every figure on this page was read off the vendor's own pricing page on 17 September 2026 in a real browser, and the address bar was checked against the address requested before a single number was written down. Nothing was restated from a review site, another roundup or an assistant's answer.

Billing modes are named wherever a price appears. Publer prints a monthly and a yearly figure in the same card, and both are quoted. Metricool prints two full ladders, billed monthly and billed annually, and both are quoted. PawPartner and Gingr print a monthly and an annual figure, and both are quoted. The others publish a monthly figure, and each entry says so rather than inventing an annual number. Our own ladder is quoted in both modes for the same reason.

The ranking rule is groomer specific. The trade's best work photographs itself: the matted dog on the table and the same dog clipped and fluffed, the blow-dry, the holiday calendar that books out a month ahead. A salon's post is the before-and-after pair with two honest sentences on it, so the order runs on how much public marketing a tool produces from that photographable groom, whether it writes like the trade and posts for you, and then what the cheapest plan that does it costs at one location. That is why the three actual social tools lead this list, why our own sits first, and why five booking tools sit below them.

The step that decides first place is the owner's yes. A client's dog is not a plate of food or a painted wall, the before-and-after that proves the skill also shows somebody's pet, and posting it without permission is how a salon loses a client faster than a bad cut. Our approval queue holds every post until you clear it, which is the closest thing to a consent gate any tool on this list ships. The schedulers publish on a timer, and the booking tools never touch the feed at all.

No stars, no scores, no customer counts, ours least of all. Every claim links to the page it came from with the date it was read, so a figure that moved since then is a figure the reader should recheck, never one we inherited from an older sibling list.

The honest part

Publer is the better choice if you already write your own captions and the only problem is that posting is manual. Its Professional plan is $5.00 a month billed monthly, which is far less than our cheapest paid plan, and it posts to Google Business Profile too. A groomer who photographs the dog and types the two sentences on the drive home does not need us.

Metricool is the better choice if you want the numbers behind the feed rather than the feed itself. Its reporting and competitor tracking are things we do not ship, and a salon owner who wants to know whether the posts move anything should take it over us. And if your real problem is the calendar, not the content, all five booking tools below book appointments, and none of them is a social tool we could replace.

What we will not claim: no ratings, no customer counts, no trusted-by list, no guarantee that any of this fills a schedule. We are the youngest company on this page. The one thing we can say plainly is that we rank first for one specific reason, the owner's yes before a client's dog goes public, and we still tell you which rivals beat us on price and on analytics, because a list that did neither would be the kind of marketing a salon owner should skip.

Questions groomers ask about this list

  • What is the best social media tool for a pet grooming salon?

SpeedRun Social, our own product, for the one step a grooming post cannot skip: the owner's yes before a client's dog goes public. It writes the caption in a groomer's voice, builds the post from your before-and-after, and holds every post in an approval queue until you clear it, starting free with no card. If you already write your own captions and only need the queue, Publer and Metricool post for a few dollars a month, and both are ranked below with their own prices.

  • Which of these writes captions a groomer can actually post?

Only one generates the words: SpeedRun Social, and it grounds each caption in your brand kit, so a breed name is spelled right and a shave-down is explained calmly instead of shipped as a generic line you have to rewrite; that is our product and this is our list. Publer and Metricool write nothing, and the five booking tools write appointment reminders and email, not captions.

  • Do any of these post to my Google Business Profile?

It matters for a salon, because a pet owner searching "dog groomer near me" finds the Google listing before the feed. On the pages read on 17 September 2026, Publer and Metricool named Google Business Profile, and ours publishes to Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X (Twitter), TikTok, YouTube, Threads, Pinterest, Bluesky, Google Business Profile, and WordPress. None of the five booking tools' pricing pages named it. Check the vendor's own integrations page before buying on this point, because a pricing page is not an integration list.

  • Is there a free social media tool for pet groomers?

Three on this list keep permanent free plans rather than countdowns. Publer's is free forever with 3 social accounts and 10 scheduled posts per account. Metricool's covers 1 brand and up to 20 scheduled posts a month. Ours is 300 credits a month refilled forever, one free campaign a week (3 posts, 1 video, 1 cross-post), no card, watermarked media on free. DaySmart Pet and Time To Pet run 14-day trials, and the rest of the booking tools ask for a demo or a deposit.

  • What is the cheapest social media tool for a grooming salon?

On the pages read on 17 September 2026, the cheapest paid plan of any kind was Publer Professional at $5.00 a month billed monthly, or $4.00 a month billed yearly. The cheapest way to have the caption and the image made for you is our own free plan, and our paid plans start at $49.99 a month billed monthly or $39.99 a month billed annually.

  • Do any of these book appointments, or are they only for social media?

They split cleanly. The five booking tools, MoeGo, Gingr, DaySmart Pet, Time To Pet and PawPartner, book appointments, take payments and send reminders, but post nothing to a feed. The three social tools, ours, Publer and Metricool, post for you but book nothing. A salon usually needs one of each, so the ranking below keeps the two jobs separate instead of pretending one tool does both.

  • Do I need a social tool if my booking software already has marketing built in?

Probably, if the feed matters at all. The marketing inside booking software is email, promotions and a review request, which reaches clients you already have, not the owners still searching for a groomer. None of the five posts to Instagram, Facebook or Google Business Profile, so the before-and-after that is your best ad still needs a social tool to go public. Every figure on this page was read on 17 September 2026, and prices move, so open the links before any of it decides a purchase.

Try it on your own last groom

The free plans and trials above exist so a groomer can put one real dog through two tools and compare what comes out. Ours is the entry with no countdown on it, and every post waits for the owner's yes until you turn that off.

Every vendor figure on this page was read on 17 September 2026. Prices move; the links exist so you can check theirs and ours.
