Ranked for plumbing companies

Best social media tools for plumbers in 2026

Seven tools ranked by how much of the week survives when nobody stopped to photograph the job, with every price read from the vendor's own page on one named date by a company that sells one of them and says so before the ranking.

Ours is entry two, not entry one. It starts free every week: 3 posts, 1 video, 1 cross-post, plus 300 credits a month refilled forever. No card asked for, and free-plan media carries a small watermark.

Ocoya is the best social media tool for plumbers who want the picture and the caption made for them and posted automatically, at $15 a month billed monthly for the Bronze tier covering 5 social profiles (ocoya.com/pricing, read 28 August 2026). SpeedRun Social, our own product, sits second.

We rank ourselves second because Ocoya asks a third of what our cheapest paid plan does for the same weekly output, and the thing we add on top is short video and a week you can run without a card. The other five are ranked below, the price beside each one was read off that company's own page on 28 August 2026, and the rule that produced the order is spelled out underneath them.

The seven tools, ranked by how much they cover

Every priced claim below links to the vendor page it was read from and the date it was read. Where a vendor publishes a monthly price and an annual one, both are quoted, because four of these pages open with the annual figure already chosen for you.

  1. Ocoya

Produces the photo and the words, then posts them

Lowest price that still covers the whole week

It generates the image and the caption together and schedules them, and it does that on its cheapest tier rather than holding publishing back for a dearer one. For a plumbing company where the marketing budget is whatever is left after the van payment, that combination at fifteen dollars is the reason it opens this list.

    What it costs
With the Monthly toggle selected, its plan cards listed Bronze at $15 a month for 1 workspace, 1 user, 5 social profiles and 100 credits, Silver at $39 for 5 workspaces and 20 profiles, Gold at $79 for 20 workspaces and 50 profiles, and Diamond at $159 for unlimited workspaces and 150 profiles, with Enterprise quoted on request. The page carries a Yearly (save 20%) control, and pressing it left every figure unchanged, so the annual discount is advertised there without an annual rate being printed. ocoya.com/pricing, read 28 August 2026
    Best for
A one or two van shop that has never posted consistently and wants the whole job handled for the smallest monthly number on this page.

    Honest limitation

There is no free plan, only a 7-day trial, which is a thin window in a trade where a fortnight can pass between one photogenic job and the next. Its pricing page also never mentions Google Business Profile, and for a plumber that is the surface a customer with a burst pipe actually searches, so the posting this tool automates lands on the channels a plumber is found on second rather than first. ocoya.com/pricing, read 28 August 2026

  2. SpeedRun Social

    our product

Produces the photo and the words, then posts them

Same coverage, plus video, and a week that costs nothing

It reads your own website into a brand kit, then generates captions, images and short video together and holds them in an approval queue until you release them. Disclosure: this is our product, on our own list, and Ocoya is ranked above it because Ocoya covers the same weekly job for less money.

    What it costs
    Free plan: 300 credits/month refilled forever, 1 free campaign/week (3 posts + 1 video + 1 cross-post), no card required, watermarked media on free. Paid plans are $49.99, $99.99 and $199.99 a month billed monthly, or $39.99, $79.99 and $159.99 a month billed annually. speedrunsocial.com/pricing, read 28 August 2026
    Best for
A plumbing company that wants to watch a full week of its own posts appear before paying for anything, and that wants video rather than stills alone.

    Honest limitation

Our cheapest paid plan costs more than three times Ocoya's, media generated on the free plan carries a watermark, and there is no shared inbox and no review monitoring, so the message from a customer whose boiler failed still arrives wherever it arrives now. We are the youngest product here by some margin, with a customer list you could read out in a minute, and a plumber who wants software that has already survived a few winters has a fair reason to start elsewhere. speedrunsocial.com/pricing, read 28 August 2026

  3. Predis.ai

Produces the photo, and only the dearer tiers post it

Most generated media per dollar, if you press publish

It turns a line of text into images, carousels and short video with captions attached, and its cheapest tier buys more generated media than anything else here. The catch is not in the headline number but in the tier list, and it is spelled out in the limitation beside this.

    What it costs
The page opens on Annually with a 50% off badge. Billed annually, Core read $19 a month printed as $230 billed yearly, Rise $40 a month printed as $474 billed yearly, and Enterprise+ $212 a month printed as $2,540 billed yearly. Switching to Monthly changed the same three to $32, $79 and $249 a month billed monthly. Core carries 1,300 credits a month, which the page translates as roughly 86 AI images or 9 videos, and prices add-ons at $5 a month for an extra brand, $5 for a social channel and $29 for extra credits. predis.ai/pricing, read 28 August 2026
    Best for
A plumber who is happy to post by hand, or who already pays for a scheduler, and wants a month of drain and water heater graphics for the lowest possible price.

    Honest limitation

The cheapest tier will not post for you. Core is listed as No Auto Posting alongside 1 brand and publishing to 10 channels, so automatic publishing starts at Rise, which is $79 a month billed monthly or $40 a month billed annually. The pricing page shows no free plan, which means the real entry price for a plumber who wants this to run unattended is the Rise number rather than the Core one. predis.ai/pricing, read 28 August 2026

  4. Publer

Posts what somebody at the company photographed

Cheapest paid plan here, and it posts to Google

A scheduler priced per social account rather than per seat, which suits a plumbing company that runs one Facebook page and little else. Its plans page lists Google Business Updates among the things it publishes, so a job photo can go to the profile a customer reaches through a local search rather than only to a feed.

    What it costs
Its plans page prints both modes inside the same card, above a Monthly and Yearly (2 months free) control. With the social account selector at its default of 1, Professional read $5.00 a month billed monthly or $4.00 a month billed yearly, and Business read $10.00 a month billed monthly or $8.00 a month billed yearly. A free forever tier is listed at $0.00 with 1 user, 1 workspace, 3 social accounts excluding X, 10 scheduled posts per account, 25 saved drafts and 24-hour post history. Professional carries a 7-day trial and Business a 14-day one. publer.com/plans, read 28 August 2026
    Best for
A plumber who does take photos on the phone and wants them queued for a few dollars a month instead of posted at eleven at night.

    Honest limitation

It generates no images and no video, so an empty camera roll stays an empty calendar. Pricing is per social account, and the page notes that for every 9 social accounts the 10th is free, which is a scale a plumbing company reaches only if it runs several branded profiles. The free tier also excludes X entirely and holds published posts for 24 hours. publer.com/plans, read 28 August 2026

  5. Buffer

Posts what somebody at the company photographed

Smallest step from a phone camera roll to a queue

A calendar, a queue and very little standing between the two. For a crew already photographing finished pipework on a phone, this is the shortest distance to a posting schedule, and its free tier can carry a single van indefinitely without ever becoming a bill.

    What it costs
Its billing control ships with Yearly already selected. In that state Essentials read $5 per channel per month printed as $60 billed yearly, and Team $10 per channel per month printed as $120 billed yearly. Clicking Monthly changed the same two to $6 and $12 per channel per month, each labelled Billed monthly. A free forever tier covers up to 3 channels with 10 scheduled posts per channel, 100 ideas, 1 user account and 30 days of insights, paid tiers carry a 14-day trial, and the page's own FAQ dates the last price change to November 2025. buffer.com/pricing, read 28 August 2026
    Best for
A plumber whose only real problem is that posting is manual, and who would rather not learn a second piece of software this year.

    Honest limitation

It creates no images or video, so somebody at the company still has to photograph the work and write the first draft. Billing is per channel, so a plumbing firm that adds a second location's Facebook page pays twice, and the page states that channels connected while on the free tier become billable once you upgrade. Google Business Profile appears in its list of surfaces you can reply to comments on rather than as a headline publishing feature. buffer.com/pricing, read 28 August 2026

  6. Metricool

Posts what somebody at the company photographed

Scheduling plus the numbers, and Google in the list

A scheduler with analytics and competitor tracking attached, and Google Business Profile named on the pricing page itself. A plumbing company that wants to know whether posting is doing anything, rather than only that it happened, is paying for the reporting half as much as the publishing half.

    What it costs
Its plans page carries a Monthly and Annual (save up to 24%) control and renders both ladders at once. The dearer ladder, which that discount label makes the one billed monthly, listed Starter from $25 a month for 5 brands and $45 for 10, and Advanced from $67 a month for 15 brands, $107 for 25 and $210 for 50. The cheaper ladder, billed annually, listed the same tiers at $20 and $36, then $53, $85 and $159. A free tier is listed at $0 a month covering 1 brand, every network except LinkedIn and X, up to 20 scheduled posts a month, 5 competitor profiles and 30 days of analytics. metricool.com/pricing, read 28 August 2026
    Best for
A plumbing business large enough to care whether the posts move anything, with somebody willing to read a monthly report.

    Honest limitation

It makes no images or video either, and its entry ladder starts at five brands, which is four more than a plumbing company usually has, so the cheapest paid tier is priced for an agency and sold to a plumber at the same number. The free tier caps scheduling at 20 posts a month and leaves out LinkedIn and X. The page also prints two price ladders at once and switches between them with a control that did not re-render on this read, so which ladder is which is stated above as a reading of its own discount label rather than something observed changing. metricool.com/pricing, read 28 August 2026

  7. Vista Social

Posts what somebody at the company photographed

Handles the reviews as well, at the highest entry price

The only tool on this list whose plan cards name review tools and a social inbox alongside publishing. It ranks last on the measure this page uses and would rank near the top on a different one, which the method section below states rather than buries.

    What it costs
Its plan cards open on the yearly figures, and its comparison table prints a Monthly price row and a Yearly price row so both modes are stated on the page. Professional read $79 a month billed monthly, or $64 a month printed as $758 billed yearly, for 15 social profiles and 2 users. Advanced read $149 a month billed monthly, or $120 a month printed as $1,430 billed yearly, for 30 profiles and 4 users. Scale contradicts itself on the same page: its plan card read $379 a month billed monthly while the comparison table's own monthly price row read $349, and billed yearly it read $304 a month printed as $3,638, for 70 profiles and 8 users. Every tier is marked free for 14 days with no credit card required. vistasocial.com/pricing, read 28 August 2026
    Best for
A multi-van plumbing firm where somebody already answers reviews and messages daily, and where the software budget is a line item rather than an afterthought.

    Honest limitation

There is no free plan, and $79 a month billed monthly is the highest entry price on this page, roughly five times what Ocoya asks to do the part a plumber cannot do alone. Its cheapest tier is sized at 15 social profiles and 2 users, which is a capacity a single plumbing company will not use, so a small shop pays for an agency's shape. It also generates no images or video, and listening sits on the plan cards as an optional paid add-on rather than as included. vistasocial.com/pricing, read 28 August 2026

How this list was ranked

The stake first: we build SpeedRun Social, it is entry two on this list, and Ocoya is ranked above it. A roundup written by a vendor earns a plumber's time only when the vendor says so before the ranking rather than in a line under it, so it is said here.

On 28 August 2026 every vendor's own pricing page was loaded in a browser, and the address bar was checked against the address that had been requested before a single number was read. That check caught real errors: the shared browser this research started on handed back three pages belonging to other sessions, one of them a search results page for a question nobody here had asked. No figure below was lifted from a review aggregator, a competing roundup or a chatbot summary.

Four of these pages open with the annual price already chosen, so the first number a plumber sees is usually a yearly commitment. Every priced entry here gives the monthly-billed figure and the annual one, because our own plans are quoted monthly and setting somebody's yearly rate against a monthly one flatters whoever is being quoted annually. Ocoya is the exception and it is labelled rather than patched: its yearly control does not change the figures it shows, so no annual rate is printed there for anyone to quote.

The ranking measure is plumbing-specific. Most trade advice assumes somebody photographs the finished job, and plumbing is the trade where that assumption breaks: the work happens under a sink, in a crawlspace or behind a wall, the finished result is a tidy cupboard, and half of it starts with a phone call at an hour nobody is thinking about a camera. So the list is ordered by how much of a week survives when no photograph was taken, and then by what the cheapest plan that manages it actually costs. Entries one and two make the picture and the words and post them. Three makes the picture but will not publish it below its second tier. Four to seven post what somebody at the company photographed.

That measure puts Vista Social last, and it would place near the top of a list ranked on answering customers, because it is the only tool here whose plan cards carry review tools and an inbox. A plumbing firm that loses more work to unanswered reviews than to an empty feed should read its entry first rather than last. Google Business Profile is worth the same caution in reverse: Publer, Buffer and Metricool all name it on their pricing pages and Ocoya does not, which matters in a trade where the customer is searching rather than scrolling.

You will find no stars, no scores and no count of how many plumbers use anything here. We are a young company with a small customer list, and putting a number out of five beside seven products would describe a trial nobody ran. Every figure was true on one morning in August; open the vendor's link before you let any of them decide a purchase.

Questions plumbers ask about this list

  • What is the best social media tool for plumbers?

Ocoya, for a plumbing company that wants the image and the caption produced and posted without anyone at the company doing it. Its Bronze tier listed $15 a month billed monthly for 5 social profiles and 100 credits, and publishing is included on that tier rather than held back for a dearer one (ocoya.com/pricing, read 28 August 2026). SpeedRun Social, our own product, does the same jobs and adds short video and a free weekly campaign, and it is ranked second because it costs more. A plumber who already photographs the work and only needs it queued should look at Publer or Buffer instead.

  • What is the cheapest social media tool for plumbers?

On the pages read on 28 August 2026, the cheapest paid plan of any kind was Publer Professional at $5.00 a month billed monthly or $4.00 a month billed yearly for one social account, followed by Buffer Essentials at $6 per channel per month billed monthly or $5 billed annually. The cheapest way to have the pictures made for you was Ocoya Bronze at $15 a month billed monthly. Three tools on this list keep a permanent free tier rather than a trial: Publer, Buffer and Metricool, alongside ours.

  • Is there a free social media tool for plumbers?

Four on this list keep permanent free plans rather than countdowns. Publer's is free forever with 1 workspace, 3 social accounts excluding X and 10 scheduled posts per account. Buffer's covers up to 3 channels with 10 scheduled posts per channel and 1 user. Metricool's covers 1 brand and up to 20 scheduled posts a month, without LinkedIn or X. Ours is 300 credits/month refilled forever, 1 free campaign/week (3 posts + 1 video + 1 cross-post), no card required, watermarked media on free. Ocoya runs a 7-day trial and Vista Social a 14-day one with no card required. Predis.ai's pricing page names neither a free plan nor a trial, so its cheapest tier is the real entry price.

  • Which of these make the photos, and which only post the ones I take?

Ocoya, SpeedRun Social and Predis.ai generate the media. Publer, Buffer, Metricool and Vista Social publish what you bring them, which for a plumbing company usually means somebody has to photograph a cupboard under a sink and write the caption first. Predis.ai sits on the line: its Core tier makes the images but is listed as No Auto Posting, so automatic publishing starts one tier up.

  • Do any of these post to my Google Business Profile?

This matters more for a plumber than for most trades, because a customer with water coming through a ceiling searches rather than scrolls. On the pages read on 28 August 2026, Publer named Google Business Updates among the things it publishes, Metricool named Google Business Profile on its pricing page, and Buffer listed it among the surfaces you can reply to comments on. Ocoya's pricing page did not mention Google Business at all. Check the vendor's own integrations page before buying on this point, because a pricing page is not an integration list.

  • How much should a plumbing company expect to pay?

On the figures read on 28 August 2026, a plumbing company doing this properly lands between roughly $5 and $79 a month. Publer Professional was $5.00 a month billed monthly or $4.00 billed yearly, Ocoya Bronze $15 a month billed monthly, Metricool Starter $25 a month billed monthly or $20 billed annually, and Vista Social Professional $79 a month billed monthly or $64 billed annually. Our own ladder is Paid plans are $49.99, $99.99 and $199.99 a month billed monthly, or $39.99, $79.99 and $159.99 a month billed annually. A van running one Facebook page and a Google Business Profile can start at nothing on three of these.

Try it on your own jobs

The free plans and trials above exist so a plumbing company can put one real week through two tools and compare what comes out. Ours is the entry with no countdown on it, and every post waits for your approval until you turn that off.
