Ranked for nail salons

Best social media tools for nail salons in 2026

A ranked list of seven tools for the two questions a nail salon actually asks about its feed, does it write like a nail salon and does it post for me, priced from each vendor's own page on one named date, written by a company that sells one of them and names that before the ranking.

Ours is entry two, not entry one. It starts free every week: 3 posts, 1 video, 1 cross-post, plus 300 credits a month refilled forever. No card asked for, and free-plan media carries a small watermark.

The tool that turns a nail salon's own set photos into captions and posts for the least money this month is ContentStudio: its Standard tier bundles caption, image and publishing at $29 a month billed monthly, or $19 billed annually (contentstudio.io/pricing, read 15 September 2026).

SpeedRun Social, our own product, sits second, and we are not pretending the price wins: ContentStudio undercuts our cheapest paid plan by about twenty-one dollars a month for a similar weekly output. What we add is a free week with no card and no countdown, plus a brand voice that names gel-x and a fill the way your clients do instead of a generic one. The five entries below are ordered by the same two questions, priced from what each company's own site showed on 15 September 2026.

Two questions, seven answers

The ranking below runs on two questions a nail salon owner actually asks: does it write like my trade, and does it post for me. Both are answered here before the longer list.

ToolDoes it write like a nail salonDoes it post for me
ContentStudioWrites captions and images together, in a general marketing voicePublishes on its cheapest plan, no separate scheduler needed
SpeedRun SocialWrites captions from your menu and a brand kit you setPosts after your approval, on the free plan too
Predis.aiWrites short captions to match the images it generatesPosts only on its dearer tiers
LaterSuggests captions and post ideas once a topic is setPosts on every paid tier, after you schedule
BufferWrites nothing, you bring every wordPosts whatever you write, on every paid tier
MetricoolWrites nothing, it schedules and reportsPosts on every paid tier, plus Google Business Profile
Vista SocialWrites nothing, it publishes and manages reviewsPosts and chases the reviews too

The seven tools, ranked by the two questions

Every priced claim below links to the vendor page it was read from and the date it was read. Where a vendor publishes a monthly price and an annual one, both are quoted, because most of these pages open on a discounted view.

  1. ContentStudio

Cheapest plan that writes the caption and ships it too

Caption and image come out of it together, scheduled automatically, and none of that publishing sits behind a pricier tier the way it does elsewhere on this list. A salon with no designer on staff and a phone full of finished sets gets the whole job handled on the cheapest plan ContentStudio sells, which is why it opens this ranking.

    What it costs
Its plan cards read Standard at $29 a month billed monthly, or $19 a month billed annually printed as $228 a year, for 5 social accounts, 1 workspace, 1 user, 25,000 AI text credits, 25 AI image credits and 100 AI video credits. Advanced read $69 a month billed monthly or $49 billed annually, printed as $588 a year, for 10 accounts. Agency Unlimited read $139 a month billed monthly or $99 billed annually, printed as $1,188 a year. Its own FAQ states that paying yearly drops Standard from $29 to $19 a month, a saving of up to 34%. contentstudio.io/pricing, read 15 September 2026
    Best for
Best suited to a salon ready to pay from month one, wanting the caption, the image and the posting handled together across a handful of connected accounts.

    Honest limitation

There is no free plan. Its own FAQ states plainly that it offers no free forever plan, and the way in is a 7-day trial with no card. Standard seats one user and one workspace, and the social inbox sits on Advanced at $69 a month billed monthly or $49 billed annually, so a salon that wants the front desk drafting and the owner approving is shopping the second tier. Its pricing page names no nail salon feature at all. contentstudio.io/pricing, read 15 September 2026

  2. SpeedRun Social

    our product

Same coverage, a salon voice, and a free week with no card

Point it at your salon's website and it builds a brand kit from your services, colors and photos, then drafts captions, images and short video from your own material, a finished set shot over the table, and holds every post for approval until someone at the salon releases it. Disclosure: this is our product, on our own list, and ContentStudio is ranked above it because its paid plan does the same job for less money.

    What it costs
Free plan: 300 credits a month refilled forever, one free campaign a week (3 posts, 1 video, 1 cross-post), no card, watermarked media on free. Paid plans are $49.99, $99.99 and $199.99 a month billed monthly, or $39.99, $79.99 and $159.99 a month billed annually. speedrunsocial.com/pricing, read 15 September 2026
    Best for
A salon that wants to watch a full week of its own drafts appear, written with the names its clients actually use, and approve them from a phone before paying for anything.

    Honest limitation

Our cheapest paid plan costs $20.99 more a month than ContentStudio's, media generated on the free plan carries a watermark, and there is no social inbox and no review monitoring, so a message left on your Google listing still waits wherever it waits now. We are the youngest company on this list by some distance, and a salon that wants software with a long track record has a fair reason to start with somebody else. speedrunsocial.com/pricing, read 15 September 2026

  3. Predis.ai

Most generated media per dollar, once you pay to publish it

Feed it a line of text and it returns images, carousels and short video with captions attached, more generated media per dollar on its entry tier than anything else on this page. That entry tier will not post a single one of them for you, though, and the catch is worth reading before signing up.

    What it costs
The page read Core at $32 a month billed monthly, or $24 a month billed annually printed as $288 a year, with 1,300 credits a month (about 86 AI images or 9 videos), 1 brand and 10 social channels. Rise read $79 a month billed monthly or $55 billed annually, printed as $664 a year, with 3,200 credits, up to 4 brands and 20 channels. Enterprise+ read $249 a month billed monthly or $212 billed annually, printed as $2,540 a year, with 10,000 credits and unlimited brands. Extra brands cost $5 a month, extra channels $5 to $99, and extra credits $29. Every plan starts with a 7-day trial that takes a card. predis.ai/pricing, read 15 September 2026
    Best for
Fits a salon comfortable posting by hand, or one already running a separate scheduler, mainly wanting a stack of set and service graphics at the lowest price here.

    Honest limitation

The cheapest tier will not post for you. Core is listed with No Auto Posting alongside its 1,300 credits, so automatic publishing starts at Rise, $79 a month billed monthly or $55 billed annually. The page shows no free plan, so the real entry price for a salon that wants this to run unattended is the Rise number, not the Core one. predis.ai/pricing, read 15 September 2026

  4. Later

A visual grid with a caption assistant on top

Later leans on a visual grid, and its AI tool writes captions and floats post ideas once a topic gets set. Nothing gets generated from scratch here, only edited, so it pairs best with a salon that already owns usable photography of its finished sets and its space.

    What it costs
Its Starter plan read $25 a month billed monthly, or $18.75 a month billed annually, a 25% discount plus 3 months free, for 1 social set covering 8 profiles and 1 user. Growth read $50 a month billed monthly or $37.50 billed annually for 2 social sets, and Scale read $110 a month billed monthly or $82.50 billed annually for 6 social sets. Every paid tier runs a 14-day trial. later.com/pricing, read 15 September 2026
    Best for
Good for a salon with somebody who enjoys arranging a feed visually and wants prompts rather than a schedule that lives or dies on memory.

    Honest limitation

It writes captions and suggests ideas but generates no images or video of its own, only edits media you upload. There is no free forever plan, only a 14-day trial, and its pricing page makes no mention of Google Business Profile at all. later.com/pricing, read 15 September 2026

  5. Buffer

Smallest step from a phone photo to a posting queue

Strip away everything but the calendar and the queue, priced per channel instead of per seat, and Buffer is what is left. A salon whose real content is photos of the finished set and the station, nothing generated, gets from a camera roll to a live post in fewer steps than anywhere else on this list.

    What it costs
With the billing toggle on Monthly, Essentials read $6 a month per channel billed monthly, and Team read $12 a month per channel billed monthly. Switching to Yearly changed the same two to $5 and $10 a month per channel billed annually, printed as $60 and $120 a year, badged save 2 months. A free forever plan covers up to 3 channels with 10 scheduled posts per channel and 1 user, paid tiers carry a 14-day trial, and Google Business Profile appears in its channel list with publishing included. buffer.com/pricing, read 15 September 2026
    Best for
Right for a salon that already photographs its sets and its space, and needs the posts queued rather than published whenever somebody remembers.

    Honest limitation

It creates no images or video, so somebody at the salon still has to photograph the sets and write the first draft. Billing is per channel, so a second location's Facebook page is a second bill, and nothing on its page knows what a nail salon is, which means the voice stays yours to write by hand. buffer.com/pricing, read 15 September 2026

  6. Metricool

Scheduling plus analytics, with Google Business Profile

Analytics ride along with the scheduling here, and Google Business Profile gets named directly on the pricing page, worth noting since a new salon client usually searches before she scrolls a feed. Paying for Metricool means paying about as much for the reporting as for the posting.

    What it costs
Billed annually, its page read Starter from $20 a month for 5 brands or $36 for 10, and Advanced from $53 a month for 15 brands, $85 for 25, or $159 for 50. Billed monthly, the same tiers read $25, $45, then $67, $107 and $210. A free tier covers 1 brand and up to 20 scheduled posts a month, and Google Business Profile appears on the page as a supported network. metricool.com/pricing, read 15 September 2026
    Best for
Suited to a salon with someone willing to read a monthly report, wanting the Google listing and the social accounts scheduled from a single dashboard.

    Honest limitation

It makes no images or video, so the salon still has to supply what gets posted. The free tier caps at 20 posts a month, and its cheapest paid tier is sized for an agency managing several brands, more capacity than most single-location salons use. metricool.com/pricing, read 15 September 2026

  7. Vista Social

Publishes it, and chases the reviews too

Nowhere else on this list bundles review management and a shared inbox with the publishing itself. A salon that loses more prospective clients to an ignored Google review than to a quiet feed is buying a different product than everything ranked above it.

    What it costs
Professional read $79 a month billed monthly, or $64 a month billed annually printed as $758 a year, for 15 social profiles, 2 users, review tools on Facebook and Google Business, and a shared inbox. Advanced read $149 a month billed monthly or $120 billed annually, printed as $1,430 a year, for 30 profiles. Scale read $349 a month billed monthly or $304 billed annually, printed as $3,638 a year, for 70 profiles. Every tier carries a 14-day trial with no card. vistasocial.com/pricing, read 15 September 2026
    Best for
Makes sense for a multi-location or franchise salon already answering reviews and messages daily, treating the software line item as routine rather than a stretch.

    Honest limitation

There is no free plan, and $79 a month billed monthly is the highest entry price on this list, roughly $50 more than ContentStudio for the part a salon cannot do alone. Its cheapest tier is sized at 15 social profiles and 2 users, more capacity than a single salon location needs, and it generates no images or video of its own. vistasocial.com/pricing, read 15 September 2026

How this list was ranked

Before the ranking, the conflict: we build SpeedRun Social, and it sits at entry two on this list, behind ContentStudio. A nail salon owner reading a vendor's own roundup should get that sentence at the top, not buried in a footnote under the fold.

Every number below came from a live browser session on 15 September 2026, not a cached snapshot: several of these vendors hide their true monthly rate behind a billing toggle that a plain page fetch never touches, so those were read with the toggle switched by hand. Nothing here is copied from a review site, a rival's roundup, or an AI summary of either.

A pattern worth flagging: most of these pricing pages open on the annual number, which looks smaller and is not what most buyers actually pay in month one. Every entry below states both figures side by side for that reason, since a fair comparison against our own monthly-quoted plans requires it.

Here is the rule behind the order, and it is the two questions a nail salon owner actually asks: does it write like my trade, and does it post for me. A nail salon feed has to read like a nail salon, naming the systems and shapes a client types into search instead of falling back on so cute, and it has to go out without the owner finding an extra hour between chairs. So rank by those two questions together. Positions one and two write like a nail salon and post for you. Position three writes captions to match the media it generates but withholds posting until a dearer tier. Position four suggests captions but generates no media of its own. Positions five and six post whatever you hand them and write nothing. Position seven bundles review chasing on top, which is a different job.

Reorder this list around answering reviews instead, and Vista Social jumps from last to first, since it is the only entry here bundling review management with a shared inbox. The same rule cuts the other way: a salon whose only problem is a camera roll full of finished sets is not helped by a scheduler that still needs the words written, which is why the schedulers sit in the middle rather than at the top.

No stars appear anywhere on this page, no score out of five, no client count, and no promise that any post will bring a client through the door. We are a small, young company, and assigning a rating to seven products would dress up a study that was never run. Everything below was accurate on one specific afternoon in September; click through to the vendor before trusting any of it with your budget.

Questions nail salon owners ask about this list

  • What is the best social media tool for a nail salon?

ContentStudio, if the goal is a caption and an image that go out without the owner finding an extra hour between chairs. Its Standard tier, priced at $29 a month billed monthly or $19 billed annually, bundles publishing into the cheapest plan rather than holding it back for a pricier one (contentstudio.io/pricing, read 15 September 2026). SpeedRun Social does the same job with a brand voice that names the systems your clients type into search, and a free weekly campaign with no card, landing second because it costs more once a salon actually pays. A salon that already photographs its own sets and just needs the posting queued is better served by Buffer or Metricool.

  • What is the cheapest social media tool for a nail salon?

Among everything read on 15 September 2026, Buffer Essentials came in lowest at $5 a month per channel billed annually, or $6 billed monthly. For generated images specifically, Predis.ai Core undercut everyone at $24 a month billed annually or $32 billed monthly, though its cheapest tier refuses to publish anything for you. Both Buffer and Metricool keep permanent free tiers rather than time-limited trials, same as ours.

  • Is there a free social media tool for a nail salon?

Two names here run permanent free tiers instead of a countdown clock. Buffer gives 3 channels, 10 scheduled posts per channel and 1 user, forever, at no cost. Metricool covers a single brand and up to 20 scheduled posts monthly. Ours: 300 credits a month refilled forever, one free campaign a week (3 posts, 1 video, 1 cross-post), no card, watermarked media on free. ContentStudio and Vista Social offer trials instead, seven days and fourteen, and Predis.ai runs a 7-day trial that takes a card.

  • Do any of these tools write captions that sound like a nail salon?

Two of them get closest. SpeedRun builds a brand kit from your own site, so a caption names gel-x, a fill and an almond shape the way your clients do, instead of falling back on pampering. ContentStudio writes captions and images together, but in a general marketing voice you then have to steer. Predis.ai writes short captions to match the images it generates. Buffer, Metricool and Vista Social write nothing, so the voice stays yours to type by hand.

  • Which tool is best for posting nail photos to Instagram?

For a feed built on the finished set, Later and Predis.ai are the two most visual tools here. Later keeps a grid view and writes captions and ideas once a topic is set, but generates no images. Predis.ai generates carousels and short video from a line of text, but its cheapest tier will not post them for you, so auto-publishing starts at its Rise plan, $79 a month billed monthly or $55 billed annually. Either way the photo still starts on your camera roll.

  • How much should a nail salon expect to pay?

Working from the figures read 15 September 2026, a reasonable range runs from about $6 to $79 a month billed monthly. Buffer Essentials landed at $6 billed monthly or $5 billed annually per channel, ContentStudio Standard at $29 billed monthly or $19 billed annually, Metricool Starter at $25 billed monthly or $20 billed annually, and Vista Social Professional at $79 billed monthly or $64 billed annually. Ours: Paid plans are $49.99, $99.99 and $199.99 a month billed monthly, or $39.99, $79.99 and $159.99 a month billed annually.

  • Do I need to be able to write captions myself?

Only if you pick a scheduler. Buffer, Metricool and Vista Social publish whatever you write and write nothing themselves, so the caption is yours. ContentStudio and SpeedRun write the caption for you, SpeedRun in your own voice, and Predis.ai writes short captions to match the images it generates. If writing is the part you want off your plate, skip the pure schedulers and compare the two that actually draft.

Try it on your own week

The free plans and trials above exist so a salon can put one real week through two tools and compare what comes out. Ours is the entry with no countdown on it, and every post waits for your approval until you turn that off.
